The new Doom remaster is one of the best way to play 2 of the best games of all time and their expansions. With previous options previously locked behind high end source ports added into the base game via Nightdive's excellent game-remaster engine, Kex. This source port even has a few great additions like a new soundtrack remixed by Andrew Hulshult from 2/3-of-all-modern-ish-boomer-shooters fame and Multiplayer (Death Match and Co-Op) without having to explain to your friends what the hell a Zandronum is. It has enhanced graphics and lets you play it looking old and crunchy if you still want to easily in the display options.

Minor complaints are you can't get FPS caps under 50 without using console commands (cl_engineFPS 35, for original framerate) and no mouselook which can be off-putting to new players, but that hurdle is insignificant.
