I have been playing the F1 games since F1 2010 (and before that when they were made by other developers) and this is really the first year I have genuinely felt let down. It's impossible to find the right difficulty level because the AI is so damned overpowered on some tracks while on others they are more where they should be. The biggest problem is that they accelerate out of corners so much quicker than you that you are screwed on straights, which in turn also makes it impossible to pass any cars in front of you even with DRS.

This makes it very demoralizing to actually want to play the game because you spend most of the time being frustrated by things that are out of your control, not to mention also extremely unrealistic. But hey at least we have supercars and can decorate rooms! (literally nobody asked for this). Maybe get it if it's on sale, but I certainly regret paying full price for it.

This is a great game if you love rally and like a career mode where you work your way up the ranks. It drives somewhat similar to Dirt Rally but I find Dirt a bit more challenging and intense.

My only real complaint is that it certainly is not the most optimized game. Random fps drops while driving can be stage ending. I think it's definitely worth getting on sale.

If you love the original game you'll love this. It's made some major improvements to certain parts of the game that have not aged well, such as improving level design, and also updated it to make it run better on modern systems. Lots of replay-ability as well thanks to the huge amount of achievements to earn as well as options to change up the game.

Feels like a big step was made in the series with this game in my opinion. The driving feels a lot more like it should, which is obviously the most important part of the game. Also the career mode is arguably the biggest improvement in terms of features. I actually feel like I'm an F1 driver now. Your answers to the press (Claire) actually matter a lot more now and I thought the addition of your F2 rivals was pretty cool and helps with the immersion.

Another noticeably big improvement is the AI. They actually try to race you as they would in real life. They defend their positions (blocking, etc.) and actually try to overtake you in most corners if they are close enough and there is enough space. It's like you're watching an actual race on TV but you're just on the other side of it. They're aggressive, as they should be, but not so much that it's cheap. I've had virtually no problems with the AI making contact or crashing into you. It drastically improves the races compared to previous games.

Graphics have improved a bit but not so much that it's worth raving about to be honest. The look of the menu is a lot better too and I like all the customization options you have. Small complaint I have relating to this though is that there are helmets that you have to pay for, which I guess is fine if you don't mind spending the money, but come on, they're just helmets.

Only proper complaint I have is that online play is still pretty inconsistent when it comes to rules. If you barely bump someone accidentally you can easily get at least a 2 second time penalty. But I was purposefully bumped off the track on a straight and the guy didn't get anything other than probably a "warning". This is just from my experience so far though. Overall this is a great addition to the series and a must have for any hardcore or casual F1 fan.

I saved Cyrodiil from Mehrunes Dagon, and learned about the high elves along the way.

By far the best Codemasters F1 game to date. Biggest improvement I've seen from game to game. Everything is better pretty much. The handling is more realistic (not quite rFactor level, but still pretty damn good in my opinion), the sound is a LOT more realistic, specifically the engine noise. The optimization has improved a lot as well. I used to get so much lag in F1 2017 even when I tried only using reasonable settings even with a 1080ti. Now lag is virtually non-existant.

The presentation is all updated as well to match the real life 2018 FOM presentation style. The new logo (which I still am not a big fan of), new intro, etc. And of course the halo is there as well, which quite honestly you get used to really quickly. I also like the different sound they went for in the soundtrack.

My only complaint so far is that they apparently have removed the ability to change AI difficulty in between sessions in career mode, which if you're familiar with the last few games, this was vital since the AI skill drastically varies from track to track and session to session. You can only change it in between race weekends. Other than that I love everything so far.

Best Codemasters F1 game since 2013 in my opinion, if not the best so far. Everything I was hoping for and more. Still a few bugs in multiplayer for Codemasters to fix, but the single player has been fantastic. If you are an F1 fan, this is a must own.

Not that bad from what I've played so far. But as someone else said they should really add ovals for Indy and Stock cars and also I'm 90% percent sure the Indycar sound is recycled from the Formula B car which is a little irritating to be honest.

The best fun you'll ever have. Gave it a chance about a year ago, and fell in love with it. Deffinitely give it a go.
