Grim Dawn is an excellent ARPG that knows how to slow things down without making it boring. Many ARPGs on the market try to ramp up the excitement and difficulty simply by making everything move and attack really fast, but Grim Dawn takes a more strategic approach where repositioning mid-combat, drinking potions, and managing cooldowns actually play a vital role in combat.

It also includes a deep complexity for customization without being blatantly confusing like other ARPG skill trees. Rather than one massive tree to choose from, you have a number of smaller trees to specialize in and differing ways of earning the points for the trees.

Really my only gripe is that Hosting a multiplayer game seems to be a tad unstable - thus far my friends and I are averaging a crash every 45 minutes or so for whomever is hosting, but luckily the game is really good about saving progress so re-launching and re-hosting takes very little time with no progress lost.

Overall, it's a very enjoyable and methodical ARPG that will have me playing for a long time.
