Don't let my playtime fool you. I played this game and Xenoverse 1 nonstop back in 2017 and 2018 on the PS4 and loved it. This is the first time picking it up on steam cause it is so cheap on sale. The combat is similar to Xenoverse 1, but the combat was already good enough in Xenoverse 1. There are more super forms different races can get like SSJB for saiyans and Golden form for Frieza race and the super forms of other races. If this game is on sale for $10, then there is no harm in buying it for yourself to try. If this game cost $50 normal price, then I don't recommend buying it at that point. Also, the story is pretty good imo, so that is a plus.
