I finished it in 37 hours, yes :)
Origin was definitely lighter on story, but I felt the other two did really well for what I would say are essentially still JRPGs underneath. I'll edit it to make it clearer though :)
Was this your first Ys game or something? IX is definitely the first one with this much cutscene spam, the series used about non-stop, fast paced action before VIII. They're making it more like Kiseki now, with tons of dialog and downtime, which is very disappointing to some of us older fans.
