It's the best multiplayer Star Wars game we're gonna get for a long time, it seems, so you should absolutely own it and play it, I played a lot on Xbox and it feels better here. Frequently goes on sale for $3 with all DLC, which is a phenomenal price for everything you get. Fantastic and long standing mod support. No chase or grind anymore, just here for the love of the game, and the only game where you can roger it up roger style with all your clanker friends so I love it a lot, roger roger.

Bought this at launch, it was a little TOO early access back then - no real sense of meta progression, not enough item variety, some choppy performance...the bones were there and strong, but wasn't enough on those bones yet to really justify picking it up for the average person, so I put it down and let it cook for a few months.

Roughly half a year later, you can feel the game is in a really great place now. The medallion system is easier to parse, the weapon variety is way up, performance is overall better, there's activities and alternate routes and story beats that were more fleshed out than before...the game feels like it's coming into its own now. And the movement. BROTHER, the movement is worth the price of admission alone. Flowing through saws and gears in true PoP fashion feels SPECTACULAR, this game really captures the essence of classic PoP but with modern fluidity and speed, it's great.

If you loved Dead Cells, you owe it to yourself to pick this one up, and an even bigger update is coming shortly that should make this feel like a damn near complete game. I suspect this'll be out of early access sometime next year, and by the time it gets there it's gonna be an all timer. Worth picking up now, but has the ability to strive even farther.

This is not a GOOD fighting game, but it is a FUNNY fighting game.

I want you to imagine Fantasy Strike, but if that game actually had an aesthetic and vibe. The look and characters of an El Santo monster movie carry along a 3 button mega basic ass fighting game with jank abound. There's story modes for each character, 2 unlockable fighters, a barebones training mode, bad netcode, a combo trial that barely works...but there's also giant robots, demon luchadoras, vampires, werewolves. Funny visuals, goofy hitboxes, glitches abound.

Great for a fun night with the boys. Not a good game, but a fun game, and the developer seems to be still working on it a year on so there's always a chance on a long enough timeline it gets better.

It's hard to fully justify putting too much money into this game with the sequel due out next year, but honestly this game is just an absolute blast. The most fun I've had with a digital TCG in a minute and has a very generous amount of free currency if you're willing to grind out single player content. I love the music, I love the art style, I love that there's Granblue stuff in it, I have just all in all had a great time with it.

(Holy Lion Havencraft forever btw, please bring that archetype back to Worlds Beyond cygames pls)

most hooked i've ever been on a roguelike. movement and flow is so good, discovery is fast and relatively painless, item variety is peak. what other roguelikes should aspire to.

Never has a game been more dwarfy. The story is very compelling and the combat - while a smidge janky - feels adequately chaotic and wild. A game with tremendous personality, looking forward to jamming through it.

EDIT: After patch 1, things seem to be working even better! Played a ton of Hero Assault and Starfighter this morning with minimal server issues, we seem to be trending in the right direction. Keep it up, Aspyr! Don't let the negativity keep you down. :D

Most of the negative reviews are from launch night - 10,000 players trying to cram into 3 servers. Since the opening hours, server support has gone WAY up, people can make their own servers as well, and things seem to be slowly but surely operating better.

Don't get me wrong - there are still issues to fix! Most importantly:

- Server hosts seem to be locked to 30FPS. Doesn't bother me much, but the frame counters will hound until this is fixed
- Audio is pitched too low (most noticeable in the Battlefront 1 loading screen, but it's everywhere)
- The ability to choose between inverted and non-inverted flight controls

Other than these issues, which are fixable, it's overall the same Battlefront you know and love, shined up a bit and presented to the modern audience. It's $35 because servers aren't free to run.

Keep your expectations realistic - this is a small team who's never had to manage a playerbase of this magnitude before. I'm hopeful they can get things in line here in the next couple days, but the overall package is what I expected!

this game sucks, you should play it

the meta is an absolute tour de force of one turn otks and queues are filled with bots that do nothing or murder you

but coming from a magic background and never really playing yugioh before....damn is it fun. it's like legacy on the gas. you're slinging absolute heat every match. give it a go, spend zero money on it, don't take it very seriously, have fun dropping bombs on each other.
