EDIT: I have edited this review to Positive as Sony has made the correct decision in removing the Mandatory Account linking, as such I can once again be happy with this game and recommend it. My Original review below this will remain here as a reminder, for what Sony attempted.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While I have only put 43 hours into Hell Divers II, I and a number of my friends absolutely enjoy playing this excellent game, whose satire is incredibly on point and hilarous, as we blast bugs and take down Automatons to protect SUPER EARTH. It plays well, feels great, the weapons are fun, and the community is great.

So why is this review a no you ask?

Well it's pretty simple, SONY (not Arrowhead) has decided unilaterally that players must have a PSN Account linked to this game in order to play it, four months after the launch. Now while initially this was supposed to be a requirement they did not enforce it due to the games mass popularity and the servers having issues handling how many players could play it, while the game was also sold in areas in which PSN is not active in comparison to the likes of Steam and Microsoft. So these players who bought this game are suddenly unable to as the game has been DELISTED in those regions and they are essentially locked out of the account unable to make a PSN Account to play the game

"But Fieryone! Can't they just make an account in a region close to their country?" You might be asking, and yes, they could but the issue here is that directly AGAINST Sonys own TOS for Playstation Network. So with all these factors, as much as I LOVE this game, it's truly one of the best multiplayer games I've played since the original Left 4 Dead, I've even bought Super Credits to support Arrowhead cause the game is worth it. I cannot recommend ANYONE buy this game, not until Sony backtracks this absolutely boneheaded decision. So until this is resolved I will not be playing this game and uninstalling it.

The SES Sword of the Stars is going dark, hopefully, she will be back.
