If you enjoyed the original SUPERHOT then you're going to have a blast with this one. S:MCD takes what made the original amazing and ramps it up to 11.

STORY
The story is more or less the same as the original. You are an unnamed protagonist who must kill countless Red Guys. There is a "deeper story" if you go looking for it but on the surface it isn't as rich.

GAMEPLAY
The gameplay is the exact same as the previous game but more tuned and refined. Moving, jumping and picking weapons is a lot more fluent and responsive and doesn't feel as unfair as the previous game. Level structure has now changed, so instead of the standard one level after you can now pick what levels to play in a Mario 3 styled map. The 'Levels' are just 4 different rooms you must complete back-to-back without dying to move on. The levels are randomly selected from a list of old and new locations including Subways, Labs, Dig Sites, Restaurants, Discos, Dojos and even a clock tower.

The game introduces some roguelike elements to the mix as well. After a few levels you can pick an upgrade to help you such as More Health, Faster Speed, Weapons have more ammo etc which definitely helps with the replayability as you can mix and match your style.

VISUALS
The all white is back in full force but this time more detailed. A lot more objects are thrown in to fill the empty space and add some life to the levels, as well as very minor things like cables running on the ground, tools laying around the area and more throwable objects.

VERDICT
If you loved the first SUPERHOT and want more then you will get more. It is the same good but ramped up to 11.
