A Far Cry game but without a voiced protagonist (therefore no character development), uninteresting antagonists and a boring map. This game also has significantly less outposts than Far Cry 3 and 4 for some reason- probably because Ubisoft prioritized fishing or hunting more than the classic Far Cry formula.

Just save your money for when Far Cry 6 releases, that game looks so much more promising.

EDIT: Far Cry 6 released (albeit, a while ago now) and it was worse than this game. The voiced protagonist was a nice touch, but overall, the game felt a bit less charming than Far Cry 5. I have come to the conclusion that having a mute/voiceless protagonist isn't that much of a deal-breaker for me. Far Cry 5 has an amazing theme and setting- oh how beautiful the state of Montana is. So, I have changed my review from negative to positive, as I would recommend it if you are interested in some Far Cry action in the United States, a first for the series.

Or just buy Far Cry 2/3/4, any of those are excellent choices.
