Ninja Gaiden 2 is a near perfect game. Considering the amount of stuff which has been added, it's a surprise that I think Ninja Gaiden -Sigma- 2 is only very good.

I don't know if they had complaints that the game was too hard, too bloody, or that it crashed a lot but Sigma 2 has been rebalanced. There are now less enemies on the screen at any one time and there is less, or no blood. As a result, it doesn't quite feel as frenetic, bloody or chaotic as it should, but it's still a blast to play.

As for what they added, there are new weapons, new characters and new levels, which all sounds great but the downside is that they are -mandatory- You have to play a couple of levels as Ayane, you have to play as Momiji, and with the way weapons are now unlocked, you -CANT- pick your favourite weapon and focus on it, upgrades now come slowly. All this means is that the game isn't the same, pure, visceral fun as it used to be.

I really do think that the game is wonderful, sigma or not, but I do think it's a little bit disappointing that this is the definitive version. (I hear there is a patch which sounds great)

I'll be honest, I bought this game because I was craving an open world driving game. There's not many options and I've been pleasantly surprised.

At it's core the game is really good, the worlds are big and fun to explore and there's a ton of collectables and a lot of lego charm, but it's really let down by the bizarre choice to lock lego bricks off behind whats basically a battle pass and an odd choice to monetise vehicles. There are even daily and weekly challenges as if this game is supposed to be some kind of live service, but that's just not what the game is, it's just, really weird.

If this game was a festival of lego which showers you with new bricks and vehicles and tons of different events it would be great. There's enough content there to do it, but instead it just feeds you little drips and drabs of cash to to spend in the "store" There's just no way you'd be able to play this game enough to earn everything in the 4 battle passes, or enough cash to buy the vehicles you'd want without spending money, and that's just a huge shame.

This game had the potential to be a really good collectathon and instead it just kind of sucks. I've beat the game and I don't intend to play hundreds of hours more to unlock everything I supposedly bought. I regret buying the premium version. The standard version in a sale for £10-15 would've been alright, but £75 is absolutely insane.

This game hits so far above it's weight as a cheap indie title. It's really, really good.
The story isn't a grand fantasy epic, but that's not such a bad thing. It's a lighthearted, but still interesting romp with fascinating characters that will keep you interested for a good 15-20 hours.

The story, the characters, the gameplay and the environment all play off of each other in a way which I find really commendable. Half of the game you will be looking around trying to find treasure, and again this is a good thing because the levels are bright and colourful, the music is good and the treasure you find will all give you tangible strategic options in a fight that makes exploring feel rewarding.

Fights are all interesting too. They always find some way to keep it feeling fresh, maybe they've introduced a new enemy type, there's a new strategy you want to try out, or for story reasons you've got to get to the other side of the map quickly, or a boss fight, and the difficulty is spot on, the game always gives you the right level of challenge and you have a lot of freedom to experiment.

Overall, I really like this game and I'm really impressed at how well everything meshes together.

I don't think I would recommend this game.
It's not that the game isn't complex, but it doesn't feel like you are playing for any particular purpose. Like, you don't unlock anything, there's no story or anything. It's just a game that you play until your strategy fizzles out, and then if you still feel like it, start again.

I just got to turn 240, and rather than feeling elated for getting so far, I feel glad that it's over because it dragged. I could start again and try to get further, but why?

Borderlands by committee.
A committee that doesn't know what humour is, or fun.

For a Vampire Survivors adjacent game, this is alright, but unlike Vampire Survivors there are no secrets to discover and the game is not endlessly replayable. You'll have to play the game 6 times to unlock all of the endings, but you will likely have seen everything the game has to offer after just a couple of tries. For £4 It's OK.

I think that this game is actually pretty good... for a PSP game.

I played the sequel first, and whilst I did find group combat in the sequel tedious, I didn't have so much of a problem with this one.

Combat feels a little more janky in this one, but it's almost as if the game was designed with the camera angles in mind and feels much more balanced than the sequel.

The story is nothing special but I did like the ending, and the game has a lot of replay value in the form of clothing to collect, and the ability to play as different characters when you beat it.

i'd give this game a solid 7/10, and for a PSP game I'd give it an 8.

I think that this game is alright. It's a bit basic, and the strategy is really limited. Towers don't really have any synergy with each other, and there is a very obvious strategy which I think everyone will realise as soon as they start tinkering with the upgrade system.

Overall, I don't think I would recommend this game. It's just a bit basic. If you want a good tower defense that with a bit of depth to it I'd recommend Rogue Tower instead.

This game is actually really interesting. My first few games went horribly, but as I began to understand the mechanics I started doing well. It's a very satisfying feeling. I can now happily play on pioneer.Oftentimes with games like this a single strategy will become king, but with the random nature of the scenarios winning becomes less about the ultimate strategy, and more about making the best choices and planning around whatever pops up. The more you understand the game, the more informed decisions you can make. It's a very rewarding game, but unfortunately I do find it taking up all my free time. :)
