Hunt Showdown easily has the best gunplay out of any FPS I have ever played. The game world and atmosphere is its own dank brand of western grimdark horror. I f*cking love this game.


*1896 Update:

The already amazing gunplay has been vastly improved by the introduction of bullet drop on all guns, adding a refreshing layer of challenge to the already intensely desperate and chaotic gunfights.

The game looks, sounds and feels absolutely amazing following the upgrade to the newest version of CryEngine.
Notoriously the new menus leave a lot to be desired and will require a lot of getting used to, just to do basic navigation - this has already been addressed by the Devs and several of the the main issues will be fixed in an upcoming update.

Personally I have encountered no major bugs or performance issues on maxed settings, I am however running a fairly high-end PC, far exceeding recommended specs.

Things are starting to get weird, I hope this isn't the beginning of something horrible and utterly immersion breaking.
Regardless, Hunt continues to deserve my nomination for Labor of Love every year.
