Risk of Rain returns is exactly what I wanted and expected from this game. It is risk of rain with a fresh coat of paint, a new set of wheels and some heated seats. The game play is the same action platformer fun I've always loved from the first game. The bring over items from the second game while not exactly the same are still fun. A new inclusion of different skills and the accompanying prismatic trials are a very fun and interesting switch up to keep the gameplay interesting. While I haven't gotten a chance to try out the new characters all that much I will say that any new content for the game is definitely a plus. Overall if you enjoyed the first game or thought it was better than worse this is certainly a worth while purchase even at full price (15$ is a steal). As for my overall rating its a 8.5/10 which is a strong step up from the 7.5/10 I gave to the original.
