Quick review of Carnal Instinct: Pre-Alpha
I was playing on the Patreon build, so Steam didn't log the hours.
For a Pre-Alpha build it's pretty damn amazing. A few quests, a couple of which were quite well made. The sex with random generated NPCs is well made. There are a few positions the scene can start in and then you can adjust it, the camera and the speed. There are a few static sex NPCs that don't have that control, but it makes up in quality.
Audio needs improvement, especially the NPC dialog. I don't know how to describe the audio other than it sounds like there's three too many pop filters on the mic when recording.
The story feels very placeholdery, so I think they'll do rewrites as the development goes. Hopefully with a better end goal then being accepted into the "Eternal orgy". Like seriously, there's a curse plaguing all people of the region where if they lose passion for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, they petrify and crumble to dust. That's like the best plot driver where you would need to balance sex to not petrify and journey to find how to end the curse. That said, "Eternal Orgy" could still be an alternate ending.
Although you can change your race, ♥♥♥♥ shape on the go at any point, there are no animations. It's like putting a new set of clothes in any other RPG. Fingers crossed they make the transformations more meaningful, animated and harder to achieve. Like in Corruption of Champions or Lilith's Throne.
Overall, I'm liking how this game is shaping up. It's apparent that the developers care about the project. So I wish them luck. And to you good reader, I wish you a good masturbation session ;3
