"you came here to be something that you're not, a hero."
just finished playing the "game" for the 2nd time and I was shocked. the first time I played the game I thought it was just a normal military shooter. run around, kill some enemies, kill the bad guys and win the game. I was so wrong. the game introduces a strong narrative of war through the eyes of a soldier, the use of chemical weapons (mainly white phosphorus) and PTSD. the second time that I played the game I found out even a stronger, deeper narrative, and I was overwhelmed. the game had engaged me, the player, the man behind the monitor, it called me a murderer. at that moment I realized that the whole game was trying to tell me something. in one of the loading screens I was told: "To kill for yourself is murder. To kill for your government is heroic. To kill for entertainment is harmless." I don't want to cause any more spoilers for those who haven't played the game yet, but if there is one thing you need to know before or even after you play it, is that this game is very different from any other modern military shooter you have ever played.
