I think its pretty alright! TDD will always be my favorite Amnesia game in the series, especially with playing Justine and MFP.

**Spoilers for Rebirth!**

Pros:
- Its a sequel to the first game! Which I thought was very interesting, especially achievement hunting soon after. The lore I thought was very interesting, as it expanded more on what the Shadow, The Flesh, and the ancient civilization was and how it was like.
- New graphical changes! I think it looks great, and the architecture was very cool! I always found myself looking around the environment since its very different than TDD.
- Personally, I found myself very engaged with the story. I suppose I was more interested in the lore of Rebirth rather than the characters, which added some elements and environmental story telling.
- I like the mechanical changes! TDD is a decade old game; which don't get me wrong, its a classic and its phenomenal; it just felt fresh and new with some of the changes, which I know *a lot* of people don't like.
- When running through it the first time, the scares felt good! The monsters were new and interesting, and having no idea how they worked made it very much exciting! I think even still the monsters are fun to engage with!

Cons:
- I think the mechanic with Amari is.... *interesting* to say the least. I think the inconsistency of the baby kicking to assist with sanity definitely was an annoyance, as most of the time when you're presented with dark spaces/monsters it almost felt like it didn't do anything, and that the baby kicking for sanity purposes was always at a time when I was safe/not involved with the monster.
- The endings didn't feel as impactful as I thought they would! The 'Good' ending had implications on the cards felt all for naught, as Amari was depicted to fade away and Tasi would grow into a Harvester as noted. The Revenge ending was cool to enable and complete, but felt just as bad as the 'Bad Ending', since it kills Tasi and Amari regardless. In TDD, Daniel was able to escape with Agrippa for a good ending, Daniel was able to stop Alexander and walk out despite the Flesh's takeover, the endings felt justified and fitting. Rebirth does not do that, as every ending I'd consider as 'bad' for their own reasons.
- Matchbooks and Lantern.
- With being able to cross through dimensions, it was heavily used in the beginning of the game, but severely dropped off until the Doctor. I thought that feature was cool and wish it was used more often.

Honestly, it sounds like a mixed bag from this review, but personally I still enjoyed it! Of course its not perfect, and admittedly it doesn't live up to TDD, but I think it's worth playing if you're interested in the franchise! If there were to be another Amnesia game, I have high hopes for it!

One of my first FPS I got to finally sit down with and enjoy. I dabbled a little into D1 but had a lot of social anxiety at the time, but since then I was able to grow, and meet all the wonderful people I know and love. It has its ups and downs as with any game, but I'll never forget the memories and relationships I've built with this game. Without Destiny, I'd probably be the same as I was 4 years ago, or not even here to begin with. It's not always about the game play, and that's what people just don't realize sometimes.
