This game is addicting and you live for the highs of the gameplay. But it's also addicting in the sense of a predatory free-to-play game. The expenses of all the paid parts of the game are INSANE, ships going up to £100, premium time, resources, re-allocating points and equipment. You get so wrapped up that you start rationalising spending stupid amounts of money on a single digital ship. Everything in this game is pressuring you to spend money.

DO NOT play this game if you have issues with addiction or impulse control. If you do play this game look into guides on how to play effectively without paying or paying as little as possible.

And none of this is to mention the gameplay experience. When in a vacuum its so enjoyable, but the balance and resultant metas are frustrating and long lasting. That you have to choose between fighting mindless W pressing bots, or island hiding HE spamming snipers.

This is a warning cos you know Im still addicted to playing.

Hello! We are sorry that you have such an opinion and that our project does not meet your expectations.
The game does require a level of commitment for a player's progression. However, WOWs is free-to-play by nature. Of course, there is some premium content available, but you don’t need it to advance in the game and neither to have fun.
Any game may cause addiction, sometimes players blame the developers for this. In our case, we do not make the game addictive, but make it engaging.

lmao its funny one of the dudes was complaining about how when they get caught they just release shitty apologies, and she responded with a shitty apology, literally completely ignored the part of players complaining about monetization on that post. I was gonna try this game but with the way these dev accounts act like mindless bots think ill pass

I'm sorry that you're horseshit at making games and communicating about them.

why the fuck would I ever even think to waste the drive space on a game that the devs run like this.

Lmao, you mean't investment not "commitment," there is "some" premium content, my ass the whole game is a casino. You don't "need" to buy shit in the premium shop to have "fun" saids the company that sets specific ships to clear certain combat missions, not to mention heavily nerfing the exp earned from playing the game normally which incentivize purchasing economic bonuses. Have "Fun" grinding your way to tier 10 without premium or economic bonuses. Players "blame" the developers for being addicted, isn't that the whole point? "Engaged"

You explained it well about getting wrapped up and starting to rationalize spending tons of money.
The company knows exactly what they're doing and they employ techniques and tactics to trick you on purpose.
They use a variety of in game currencies to mentally seperate you from the actual amount of real money you're spending, among other things including gambling.
They are predatory and it's all very comprehensively premeditated.

Thank you for honest review, after wasting tens of thousands $$ on another Chinese pay 2 win game where all you do is forced to buy materials and upgrade dozens and dozens of made up stats and equipment. I swore I will never get sucked into another scam like this.

Looks like this is the same concept just with a different skin.

I really wish we can go back to the old days of paying a simple monthly fee and enjoy a decent mmorpg where everyone compete the same - basically your time investment and skills, instead of whoever dumping the most money.

fun???? level 5 vs level 8 ships..... where's the fun in that??? played like 40 games and everytime got matched with level 8 ships in my level 5 ship! one! shot of level 8 ship destroyed my ship. NO FUN IN THAT!!! (80+ hours on steam + 200+ hours on battlenet)
