yup. it's as good as everyone says it is. If you enjoy factory builders, this is the OG. will be buying the expansion as soon as it comes out, I suggest you do the same. It doesn't go on sale because it's always on sale.

Developers are active with their community and requested the community to be active for them, after giving them money (and time, and "just one more turn (/strike, season)) this is the least I can do.

Game is ridiculously good, and you're only going to regret having put off trying it.

It will feel hard at first, it won't take too long for it to start to feel easy, then you up the difficulty a bit and it's hard again, with more systems to interact with, but before you know it it'll be getting easy, then you up the difficulty again....

It's a roguelite (procedurally generated with meta progression) city builder that truly has nailed its target. Graphics are great, the atmosphere is incredible, and it runs extremely well even on a 7 year old laptop. I suspect I'll be giving this game as much time as I've given factorio and rim world.

Cannot wait to see what future content the developers release, I'll be pre ordering the dlc, and likely any new games they want to put out.

Get it on sale, get it at full price, get it before it gets marked up, get it as soon as possible.

My wife and I take turns playing this on the deck at night. It's wonderfully done, there are super easy chill run guaranteed characters (at low difficulties) and there are some very technical higher skill ceiling characters. Difficulty ranges from level 0, where my mom could make it to the end boss, and almost survived it (with me picking out weapons and upgrades) and she has neverplayed a game of the type (or nearly any type besides number puzzle games), to difficulty 5, where a victory is (almost) never guaranteed.

Runs take about ten to twenty minutes, enemy variety scales up with difficulty, unlocks abound in plenty, the learning curve is low and the ceiling is decently high.

And it's amazing on the steam deck.

An amazing experience, lots of replayability, complex but simple combat.

Came back to this game, there are "assist" and "accessibility" settings.

I cannot explain how much more enjoyable (while still challenging) this game has become. Huge props to the developers who make their games accessible to the player based on the players ability and not a floor level that they think players should achieve to get enjoyment from their game.

I've tuned a few of the settings, and plan to revert said tunings as I get better at the game, but maybe that doesn't happen, maybe I tune it more so I can finally beat the hand of the King. But at least my kill to death ratio for the concierge is approaching 1:1 now!

Came to buy more dlc, wrote a recommendation.

if you enjoy minesweeper style puzzle games, this will be right up your alley. there are a few unique mechanics that differentiate it enough from minesweeper that earn it this recommendation.

a few comments on things that bother me just a bit (not enough to make me not recommend). the life/hp system is a bit too different for my liking (i only played on the deck and had trouble keeping left and right click aligned in my head) as a minesweeper fan i wasnt used to not seeing the game over when i made a mistake, at first i thought mistakes werent punished because the hp counter was so hidden off to the left side of the screen.

the interactive/change the level buttons should be activatable with either the left or right mouse buttons.

its minesweeper with only designed levels and quite a few new mechanics, i will definitely be finishing all of the levels, and will be very satisfied with the dollar fifty i spent on it.

edit, finished in about two hours. I'd gladly buy a dlc expansion for this game!
