Despite the reviews being mixed I enjoyed this game. It wasn't the sequel I expected, but I wasn't disappointed. Yes, I did get stuck on a few sections and the performance was occasionally a little poor, but I have to say that the combat encounters and level design, although a little bland sometimes, still managed to be decent. I also thought the soundtrack and picturesque environments elevated the experience quite a bit.

There's no official Linux port, but here's how to play it natively anyways.

Main page: https://github.com/luxtorpeda-dev/luxtorpeda

These are instructions from the main page:

1. Close Steam.

2. Download latest version at https://github.com/luxtorpeda-dev/luxtorpeda/releases

3. Move and unpack tarball to compatibilitytools.d directory (create one if it does not exist):

$ cd ~/.local/share/Steam/compatibilitytools.d/ || cd ~/.steam/root/compatibilitytools.d/
$ tar xJf luxtorpeda-24.tar.xz

4. Start Steam.

5. In game properties window select "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" and select "Luxtorpeda".

6. Click play and enjoy

On an unrelated note, other games work with this compatibility tool, you can check here: https://luxtorpeda-dev.github.io/
