Highway Blossoms is the first paid visual novel I've played, and I've only played 4 VNs at the time of this review. It's also the first I played with english voice acting. I didn't think I'd like the voice acting, but it was actually well done and the VAs did a good job matching their characters tone the way they were written.

The story was done nicely, I didn't think it would be the most exciting thing to go through. But the dynamics between Amber and the rest of the main cast were all written incredibly well. The soundtrack was fitting and comfy. The conflicts were especially strong, they didn't pull any punches with Amber's feelings. The yuri scenes were nice of course. I don't have any complaints, felt like I got my money's worth. Someday I'll get the dlc

It wasn't about the destination, it was about the journey. The real road trip lesbians were the friends we made along the way

There's not really much game to this. It's a short and simple lesbian romance story, and a good one at that. The art style and the overall aesthetic is winter and feels welcoming. Above all, it's super comfy with the background music. No branching paths or anything, but there doesn't need to be. It gets the job done, and the ending left me crying. If you are looking to get into VNs and lesbian romance stories, give this one a shot. It's free so that's another good reason to try it out. Writen by Suriko, a writer for Katawa Shoujo. There's some similar vibes I was able to catch on from playing that.

One of the best shooters I've played. It's very different from 2016 but it's similar enough at the same. Combat is fast and intense, and the music makes it even better.

The "Cortana feet 4k @ 60fps pog" review but now with my actual review

Halo 4 is what a lot of fans would claim "killed the series" and I think they couldn't be any more wrong. The story is a bit off direction from everything before it, but it still fits nicely as its own thing, and is much better than 5's story and gameplay.

B-but Kendra you can sprint. Literally call of duty!
Loadouts? LITERALLY CALL OF DUTY!
Because apparently CoD has a monopoly on running and setting up your weapons.....

I don't get that hate, I really don't. My first game is reach but then people hit you with "muh zoomer/didn't grow with the originals you won't understand!" So now this is only a nostalgia thing? ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aside

Positives/Negatives

+big improvment from reach, mostly
+forerunner weapons are cool as hell and don't feel out of place
+the forerunner enemies fell pretty nice to mix things up*
+sprint now being a default thing without an armor ability
+vehicles control great

-/+*knights aren't that bad in this, 5's knights suck so much
-/+some armor abilities are practically useless
-/+mantis feels a bit awkward to use
-/+I kinda miss the flood but maybe we'll see them in infinite

-watchers are just so damn annoying
-the forerunner and covenant feel kinda stale after a while in some of the longer levels/spartan ops missions
-storm rifle is disappointing
-why is dual wielding gone?

As for the story like I said, it feels pretty far attached from everything but after playing 5 I don't really dislike it as much as I used to. Not much else I could really say about it. Spartan Ops is fun with a friend, kinda boring on your own. Too many missions feel the same with it tho.

Not a bad game overall, but sometimes it feels very far removed from the rest of the games

I enjoyed this more than the base Half-Life. It gets to the point faster and doesn't feel like I am running around aimlessly as much trying to solve puzzles. But the Black Ops can be too much to handle. Especially when you've been beaten to the core and it takes just 1 shot to kill you, but instead you got like 5 Black Ops agents to go through.

Got it from Humble Monthly. Never played the original releases. Through most of 1 and so far I really like it. I'll update this as I beat each game.

All it took was an even worse Fallout game to make this one better. Nice
