UPDATE: just realized, RTX HDR doesnt work with this app, you will lose peak brightness in games, so if anyone really need that brightness, just turn on windows 11's AUTO HDR feature, then everything will be fine.

A must-have for gamers that has aged hardware such as RTX 20 series or GTX 16 & 10 series.

Also a perfect demonstration about the magic of gaming on PC, it offers you many choices to tweaks here and there, and find a balance between what you want and what you might lose.

in my case,im using a RTX 2060 GPU, and i have no choice but gaming on a 32 inch monitor, plus, i want to take the advantage of a latest feature from Nvidia, the RTX HDR, meaning, im gaming on 2k HDR with a old entry-level gaming GPU that supports some new features. now you might say, hey you dumb arse, you NV users have a built-in NIS scale that can enable in almost every games, but sadly, this feature is incompatible with RTX HDR, so seems like i have to make a difficult choice, gaming with HDR but low-framerate, or gaming with smooth framerate but without HDR, But i say, hey, go fetch a LS app on steam, with this thing, you can get both features, now i can for example, turn on FSR or other upscale methods of your choice with LS app, and enable HDR in NV app, and finally open a demanding game such as Elden ring, i get 1080p level performance in 2K res with HDR, and clarity looks decent in 2K screen. This means a lot for greedy budget gamers like me.

Im not guarantee that you can run every new AAAs with old entry-level gaming PC by using this app, as you may know, many new AAAs are poorly optimized these days, Such as CBPK 2077 or Jedi survivors, they are just too Heavy for us, but within a reasonable range, you can get more performance, such as play older AAAs.

And thats just one of the use cases of this app, if you just love messing around with upscaling techs or lets say a pixel game enthusiasts, Maybe this app can serves you well too, they even had a exclusive upscaling methods called LS1, its a machine-learning based upscaling methods, which made this app even more interesting.

However, its not perfect in every cases, in some games, using upscale can lead to a bit unstable experience, i think its increased input latency or uneven frame-pacing or something like that, luckily its not a huge issue, after all budget means sacrifice, but with this app, i say you can sacrifice less.

I managed to coax it into working with RTX HDR, running an emulator in Vulkan.
