I see a lot of people asking is this game worth it? 100% yes please buy this game and support the devs they worked hard on making this game great and it shows they truly love and care for the game and its community. The game will only continue to improve and get better even though right now its great! However the gameplay loop is the same and it is very grindy at times specially when you first start off. So if you don't like those kind of games maybe stay away. I feel the game is worth it at full price 100% if you can get it on sale then 1000% JUST DO IT! Thanks for reading my review have a nice day.
So Performance right is kind of meh and this is the only part where I will be negative about the game. Right now here are my specs that I've been playing this game on:
CPU: i7 5930k 3.5ghz 6 cores
GPU: 1080TI EVGA SC
RAM: 64GB DDR4 3333mhz
Now with that out of the way the this game should run max 4K at 60FPS with no problem because the visuals of the game aren't anything to where it should bring the hardware to its knees.. However it does I get about 30-38FPS at 4K max however at 1440p max I get around 60FPS-120FPS. I noticed performance seems to drop in seems with a lot of smoke, fog, and particles. Not sure why but there is a nice guide that could help fix drops and keep performance more steady. Hopefully with the success and popularity of this update hopefully they'll improve performance for 4K considering Xbox One X and PS4 Pro could do 4K 60FPS however not sure what the graphics settings are on that.
Okay so the gameplay has improved a lot with various things to do I mean the features also speak for itself. I mean there is a lot however there is a lot of grinding at the beginning and it could get tedious but the payoff is totally worth it. The gameplay is actually really fun once you get the hang of it and mess around with everything. The game is just really fun to play way better then launch.
No Man's Sky will continue to be updated with big updates like this every 3-6 months and Hello Games will now do weekly updates for community events and various other things they also said they will communicate more openly for now on. Right now the game is in a very great state and it will continue to be support and Hello Games ARE listening. Right now we only know a few things that will be added and thats dynamic clouds from the trailers, tessalation, and a more big and open Multiplayer experience since a fully synced game is only supported up to 4 players Hello Games did say they will expand this more drastically in future updates.
Basically almost everything has been added however right now there are a few things missing such as giant sandworms, roatating planets, a actual sun, planets oribiting around the sun, landing on asteroids, and being able to fly to another star system literally that is it. Those are the only things missing. However with those missing we got a lot that isn't even suppose to be in the game in the first place like base building, land vehicles, character customization, side missions, over 30 hours of story, farming, terrain manipulation, treasure, NPCS, fleets, frigates, full on Co-Op, and so much more that is the little things
