Old positive review: On boot up I had 3 fps on the main menu (3070ti 8Gb running at 4k res), immediately disabling depth of field jumped me up to 30 fps, did some other tweaks the game announcement mentioned such as disabling volumetric clouds also helped. You'd never catch me using dynamic resolution as that technology is trash and the game doesn't offer dlss as of right now, so I lowered my resolution to 2k until the game gets a well-needed optimization patch. With all that said the game runs smoothly for me now at medium graphics which look fine, and more importantly the game is fun to play and the new road systems are miles above any other city builder! Definitely raising the bar for city builders, just another unfortunate game rushed out before completion due to publisher greed (I blame Paradox and not Colossal for this mess of a release), Game is still worth it none the less.
New Negative Review: This game went from meh to bad real quick with the most recent update paired with the beach dlc dropping, the update does improve performance considerably, but doesn't address the awful LOD issues, especially with lighting. even more, the beach dlc costs $10 and doesn't even have any improvements related to beaches, no props, 4 trees, and a rather small amount of new single family homes. If this is the price point for this amount of content moving forward, I will stop caring about this game and colossal order.
