Just so nobody can say I never gave this game a chance;
40 hours played, all endings seen, even read through plot synopsis' online to ensure I understood everything correctly, which I had.
I have quite literally studied this sad excuse for a game.

From beginning to end, this game is mediocre and lackluster.

The writing is nonsensical and outright contradictory at numerous points.
Characters are unlikeable and forced.
Plot is ultimately meaningless and all twists are either childishly predictable or exhaustingly fabricated.
Environments are bland and unremarkable. The only remotely interesting areas being the Circus and the late-game towers.
Combat is floaty, and painfully easy with non-committal attacks and readily spammable dodge. Which could be interesting if even the most basic enemies weren't still fairly tanky even later in the game.

I've said it once before in another version of this review, but my stance still holds true;
I have seen high-schoolers write more compelling and interesting narratives with more nuanced and likeable characters.

Right from the beginning, the game removes all stakes by investing the player in what might otherwise be a tense and grandiose moment with the main characters preparing for a heroic sacrifice; Only for moments later to completely negate any tension or sense of risk by having the main characters literally and canonically 'respawn' back at base and just be like, 'Oh boy, mission complete eh?'
So as a player I immediately have no reason to believe any of these characters should have any remote fear of death since it is canonically meaningless.
Even with the game poorly attempting to go with the whole "but you lose that little bit of yourself each time you die" if the characters don't upload the last 30 minutes of their life before they die. Ultimately, what they lose in inconsequential and meaningless. None of the characters in this game grow or develop in any significant or meaningful regard that would really utilize that 'losing part of yourself' motif as a result of death.
Not to mention the whole 9S 'twist'.
"But 9S finding out that his life is a lie and nothing is real is such a mind-blowing bomb-shell!"
Except it's not, and it's not. Not only was this twist telegraphed from the first moments of the game, It's also ultimately meaningless in the grand scheme of the story because as the story later explains, everything was designed to just self-destruct anyway, for no real reason. So 9S finding out this information changes nothing. Not to mention, what was supposed to be a closely guarded secret was just freely handed out to 9S by Commander as soon as he got even the slightest whiff, signed, sealed, and dated. Which almost 100% invalidates the entire 2B is 2E revelation since the whole point of that was to stop 9S from finding out what he finds out no matter what. But then Commander just ignores that entirely just and gives him the info without any resistance.
More on the 2E 'twist'. Aside from it being completely invalidated already, it's another meaningless plot-point that changes nothing and has no genuine impact.
"Oh but think about all the times 2B had to kill 9S! How sad!" Except again, death is canonically meaningless, her killing him meant nothing in the end because Commander just bypassed all that anyway, and since all that murder-death happened off-screen, I have no reason to believe 2B is even remorseful or effected, or that it even happened.
The only remotely interesting plot element in this game is the whole Project Gestalt idea. But even that is just a lore-doc you find in the world somewhere, or you might be given it by an NPC, I can't remember. And from what I can tell it's kind of a very important story detail that's treated in such a lackadaisical fashion.
At the end of it all, everyone dies and none of it mattered and the game makes sure you know that.
Such an ill-crafted, poorly designed, and badly thought-out experience from beginning to end.
Why anybody thinks this game rates on any scale of quality is beyond me.
Literally the only redeeming quality, and to this day I genuinely believe the only thing people actually like about this game, is 2B's fine booty. If I had to say one nice thing about this game, it's that the modelers did an excellent job with 2B's thicc ass, but quite literally not one thing else.

I thought this game was sub-par before, but somehow the developers actually managed to make it worse.
It's really not worth it to go super in-depth as to 'exactly' what makes this game bad, but for all intents and purposes let's just say it's an absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke of a game to have come from such a large company. I mean this is literally a well-funded ♥♥♥♥-show. Not to mention, literally ANYTHING you see on youtube or twitch or wherever, is such a poor representation of what this game actually is, and believe me when I say it makes this game look miles better than it truly is.

Suffice to say, I am very dissatisfied with this 'game', from ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hit-registration, piss-poor gunplay, and gut-wrenching UI design & layout, this 'game' is laughable at best. To be perfectly honest, if I had to rank every game I've reviewed thus far, this game would be at the very bottom, even under all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ F2P Korean FPS'. It's that bad.

Oh, one last thing, for those concerned with my playtime, I had played this much more back when the 'game' was just H1Z1, y'know, before it split into two seperate entities.

TL;DR - This game is a joke, spend your $20 on something else. Get $20 worth of cheezeburgers, buy a pizza, go have a meal at a restaurant, snort coke with it, light it on fire, frame it and mount it on your wall; All these ways and more are a much more enjoyable and effective use of $20.

Alright now that I got a chance to play the game, my review stays the same. Just another ♥♥♥♥♥♥ P2W F2P Korean FPS with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ netcode, disgusting gun mechanics, and poor weapon balance. Can't really say I expected anything more from the game....

TL;DR - If you're ever played a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ F2P FPS, it's basically the same experience with a prettier skin.

Theatr, Venice; 'Nuff said.

Pros:
- Game looks great
- Stealth gameplay is very satisfying
- Game doesn't lead you by the hand (Could be a con, but it's intuitive enough that I think it's a pro)
- Fantastic atmosphere
- Appropriately challenging on all difficulties
- Bare naked ladies and strippers
- Lots of attention to detail

Cons:
- FOV (Not awful, it's like 70-80 degrees or so, but I'm a 90-100 degree kind of guy, no way to change it without hacks)
- Going with the previous point, FOV is SUPER important since like 80% of the game takes place in small confined spaces, having an even slightly limited FOV can be very disorienting and claustrophobic
- On the highest difficulty, sometimes the AI can be a little unfair
- No way to manually save
- Head-on combat can be a little bit of a pain, because it's not quite 100%
- Sub-par voice acting, can be a little annoying at times

This game really is just the complete package, more or less. You get really solid gameplay/mechanics, so much attention to detail, lots of little quirks about the game for you to discover, a fairly interesting story, and you can get a lapdance from a half naked lady in post-apocalyptic, metro-bound Russia. Really what more can you ask for?

I just.... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I want to recommend this game, really, I really really want to, but just.... I can't. I simply can't bring myself to do it.

Pros:
- Awesome technology at work
- Fighting anthropomorphic animals
- Some funny moments thanks to the physics of the game
- Very interesting concept & design
- Looks good (Graphically speaking)

Cons:
- Pretty buggy, all things considered
- Crashes galore
- Been 'in development' for a very, very long time (some 8-9 years and counting...)
- Little to no actual 'content' (More at the bottom of the review)
- Overwhelmingly overpowered AI, not fun to fight in the slightest
- Combat woefully unsatisfying, even when you're good at it
- Gross UI

Alright, for whatever reason, there's a soft spot in my heart for this game, as I can't bring myself to refund it despite being perfectly eligible to do so (Or at least when I WAS eligible). However, I really don't reccommend buying this game because as I've said, there's just such little content, and the game has such little replay value, if any play value in the first place. There's just no way to guarantee you'll get your money's worth, and considering how painfully slow the development process for this game has been (if at all existent), there's little to no guarantee the game will ever even be 'completed', whatever that means in this case. Now, is that to say it's outright the worst garbage to ever disgrace steam with its presence? Oh hell no. On it's own, it honestly not so bad. However looking at it objectively and considering the sort of gameplay experience versus money spent ratio, and considering how long it took the game to even get to 'this' point, it's just such an awful deal, and really doesn't seem like the best investment one could make for a game. To put it into perspective, I currently have approximately 2.3 hours of gameplay on my account as of writing this review. I've literally experienced everything that this game has to offer in that time span, and admittedly I could have done it all in less time had I a better understanding of the full extent of the combat mechanics (My fault for not doing the tutorial which explains it all, not the games fault). That and I spent a considerable amount of time playing the Arena mode. Granted one might argue the 'endless' arena mode offers 'infinite' replayability, but that's just a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I give a solid 6-7 rounds (Maybe 5 minutes max, for all 6-7 rounds, if you really draw out each fight) in arena and you'll see everything there is to see. The 'campaign' itself I would estimate would take maybe an hour, give or take, maybe even less if you actually do the tutorial and screw up a minimal number of times.

So, if all this rambling is to say anything, it's simply that I can't reccommend this game, but I can't condemn it either. It is what it is.

TL;DR - Little to no content, little to no gameplay value, little to no reason to buy the game. Don't buy it, but don't hate it.

This is one of those games that's a simple idea with good potential.
If the devs can tap into this game potential, that'd be awesome.
To be honest, I quite like this game, even though there isn't much...
So I guess I can recommend this game since it's cheap.

Jokes aside

Pros:
-Nice idea
-Decent art
-Halfway decent animations
-Straight-forward gameplay
-Judging by the "Recent Updates", Dev(s) are actually active
-Read the top of the review, carefully

Cons:
-Combat is sub-par
-Very little overall content at the moment
-Various assorted bugs and glitches
-One specific bug; Certain audio effects aren't controlled by "Sound"
volume slider, meaning they always play at max volume.

All in all, not the outright worst Early Access game I've played, but it needs a lot of work. Try it if you like, it's cheap (Even cheaper on sale).

Oh wow, I think I left my account logged in on a friends computer (You know who you are) and they gave a woefully uninformative review of this game, so I guess I have to review 'my' review.

To be fair, my reccommendation doesn't really change, and I don't really feel like going super in-depth for this review as it is quite late (early?) for me and I need sleep, so quick and clean;

The game has a certain addictive quality to it as a survival sandbox, but it's early access, there's not really a whole lot to 'do' besides survive and grind mobs for more resources so you can survive more. The combat isn't particularly amazing either. So all in all, it's at least fun for a little bit, but the whole things becomes old-hat real quick and my interest dies off even quicker.

So yeah, a better review than "is poo", hopefully, but yeah there's not really a lot to say about this game, sorry to the 8 people who didn't find my review helpful before, hopefully it's at least slightly more helpful now.

Not to worst clicker game I've ever played, certainly a good way to kill some time.
Never experienced the save glitches some people seem to have, but yes I can confirm there is no way to manually save your game. Also there's no fullscreen options.

One thing to note, I really liked the randomly generated loot, I thought that was a nice touch. However my general consensus would be that these developers cetrainly have some degree of talent, but they're wasting it on the wrong genre. Honestly I feel like if these devs were to make a little RPG or something, it would probably be halfway decent. I mean I would definitely be interested in checking that out.

Bottom line; I feel like this game is wasted talent, but feel free to try it anyway, since it is free afterall. However I still wouldn't openly recommend this game 'cuz it's just nothing special.

Not really in the mood to do an in-depth review, so I'll keep it relatively short and simple.

Not worth the time or effort.
It's clear a lot of time and energy was put into this game, but the classes are balanced poorly, the entire game is way too heavily reliant on ping, the hitreg is horrific (although that's probably mostly tied to ping), plus the player base is quite small at the moment. The only two really redeeming qualities of this game are that it looks 'okay' graphically speaking and it's cheap. Honestly the only thing that would've prevented me from refunding this game, was if there were any cute female characters to play (because yes, I'm 'that' guy.), but no, there's not even that. Of course I can't in all good faith count that as an objective reason against the game, but for me it's a deal breaker.

Bottom line, personal reasons aside, I do not think this game is worth the time or money, buuut that isn't to say I don't think it 'ever' will be. Maybe in a year or two the devs will have smoothed some things out and refined their gameplay a bit more, and maybe it'll be something worth talking about. Until then this game rates a solid 4/10 for me.

I jumped in a pool of deadly waste, so it made me play a different game.
Not even an hour in and I love this game.
