I just personally find the game very boring. Even though I know Day Z started in Arma, I never truly liked Day Z. It never really captivated me, even though what drew me to the game in the first place was the online open world, where you could encounter other players. I'm very hard to please when it comes to zombie and space games, and this is sadly an example of the kind of zombie game I do not like.

Banished is a very old game from 2014, still living up to par in 2024. It's worth the purchase and is one of the best classic colony sims out there.

I got this game instead of Tropico because it was on sale, and I also got some of the DLCs for really cheap during that same sale. I highly recommend the game if you are into creating your own country with alternative world history based on decisions made in-game. You can play against bots or people online.

The best WW2 Grand Strat game out there still today in 2024. Lots of mods, DLC's, etc.

A review in 2024, what else can I say about this game. It's a classic. If you don't already have it get it.

This political simulator is impressive, but I have a suggestion. It would be fantastic if they included an option for a "blank country" where players could start from scratch without any pre-set policies, allowing them to create their own country from the ground up.

Early Access Review
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS GAME.

Seriously, spare yourself the headache. These developers are just plain shady. They tweak the game mechanics solely to stretch out your playtime for no good reason, all while the end result is mindless combat once your dino is fully grown. Let's not forget the community's favorite pastime of "AFK Grows," where players optimize their diet, pop on YouTube, and wait for hours in their safe spots, hoping no one stumbles upon them. And speaking of dinos, they keep messing with them, making some take an eternity to grow, probably to keep the last 750 or so remaining players interested but also passively fueling the mind numbing tactic of AFK Grows, while also trying to "combat it". What a joke! They've even slowed down travel speeds for certain dinos, turning exploration into a mind-numbing chore.

And get this it's been almost a decade since this game dropped in 2015, and guess what? It's still in "early development." Other developers might use that excuse, but by now, it's just a tired excuse for a game that's still a mess in 2024. Remember when they promised humans in 2021? Or 2022? Maybe 2023??? When I started playing ... Yeah, still waiting on that one. It's like they're allergic to keeping their word. And don't even get me started on the gameplay, total garbage. Get stuck in some glitch, respawn in a tree, and then starve to death for 30 to 45 agonizing minutes because there's no reset or respawn option. Save yourself the frustration and find literally anything else to play.

Update:
I discovered how to permanently remove games from my Steam Library, and I'm pleased to say that I've finally deleted this trash from my collection. It only took me nine months of being a fan to reach this point.

I've experienced better games in the genre. While I understand that this one has a dedicated fan base, it didn't quite win me over, and I doubt I'll be revisiting the Company of Heroes series. That said, I might reconsider if they offered more options for customized battles on a larger scale.

This game actually sucks major a**. I got it back in the day hoping it would be something like Turok, but hell no, it's not. Just watch the gameplay on YouTube; you won't need me to tell you not to buy this garbage.

I've never been a huge Star Wars fan. I've seen a few of the movies, but my knowledge of the universe is pretty patchy. However, I do have fond memories of playing Star Wars: Battlefront II back in 2005. I played it a lot. So, it's great to see that the new version of the game captures everything I would have wanted back then as a kid.
