This game has a really cute visual style and is looking to be a lot of fun! I really like simple and fun games that I can play in the half an hour that is my morning train commute and this is one of them. There are still a lot of bugs that need to be fixed including some that will soft-lock you and make your save unplayable. That being said, I’m sure the dev will fix these issues in due time.

Let me just start by saying I love this game. It's one of the best games I’ve ever played and it could very well be my personal favorite. Cyberpunk isn’t just a game, it’s a piece of art and it does a lot of things very well. It has also seen lots of improvements and updates since it’s original release, something which has greatly improved the interesting aspects of the game.

Cyberpunk is a critique, it is a critique of a world which promises a better world for everyone through technological advancements, but falls utterly short of that promise. Night City is called the city of dreams, but it seems like you’re more likely to die than to make a good living. The city is cluttered in MegaStructures with cookie cutter apartments and the streets are inundated with trash, clutter, vandalism, and most importantly (to the average Night City citizen) gang wars. If you last long, that's more of a miracle than anything else and it shows.

Corporate greed has taken over and the corporations of the world are nearly as powerful as governments themselves, though no less evil. Some of night city’s gangs are pawns of these corporations and they definitely don’t play nice.

In a world like Cyberpunk, it’s easy to lose hope, but the journey you take shows you what still matters in 2077. It’s the friends you make, the people you meet, and the memories of those in the past that you keep alive. Cyberpunk reminds you that the small things in life matter and that when everything else gets taken away, you can at least have each other.

You get a lot of agency over how you decide to play the game, which quests you decide to take and who you decide to help. And each action will have consequences, be they positive or negative. And if you can’t tell already, I got heavily invested in the type of person I wanted my character to be. Your actions matter and the game makes you and the people you interact with feel like real people, and that isn’t easy to do.

As for the actual gameplay, Cyberpunk does a lot of things right, and some things could be done better. I completed all gigs, side quests, and NCPD scanner hustles and I can say with certainty that … a lot of them have you doing the same thing over and over and over again. Though I enjoyed going through it from the perspective of a completionist, I can’t say that that's something everyone will want to do.’That being said, most quests come with extra data shards that you can read for information on what actually happened. And its nice that you can fill in the gaps with that.

Combat is pretty alright, I don’t particularly care for combat that is extremely difficult, so I played on a more regular difficulty level. Though I did die a couple times and needed to actually watch myself for parts of the game, by the end of the game I was a powerhouse that was impossible to kill. The cyberware you choose can give you armor as well as a range of interesting abilities. Each device is unique and there are many different playstyles to choose from. One of my favorite ways to play the game was to use stealth to get takedowns and to sneak around them. You can be very clever with your stealth options, that being said, NPCs aren’t exactly the smartest.

And really, that's one of the main problems in this game. Though characters that are involved in the story are fleshed out and feel real, a lot of the NPCs and ways the game work don’t feel as dynamic. In CDPR’s defense, it’s hard for me to say what they could have done differently, but it does feel like the city is very pretty to look at and drive through, but doesn’t have as much depth aside from the scanner hustles.

I’ve never had a game that made me feel like I didn’t want to use the fast travel system either. And I mean that in a good way. Snaking my way across the highway, narrowly missing cars as they move ever so slightly out of my way makes me feel like a god. The city is incredibly nice to look at and there is almost always something going on. And at least for the first part of your playthrough there will be a lot of unique things happening. It isn’t until you’ve been in this game for a while that interactions start to feel more stale.

Though I won’t say too much about them here, I also wanted to say that I really enjoyed the endings for this game. No ending is really a happy ending, but there are ones that are quite a bit more enjoyable than others. I really recommend saving before the final quests and giving them all a try, you won’t regret it.

Well that was an ungodly long review that was likely all over the place. But hey, if you need one takeaway from all of this, it should be that you should get this game. You won’t regret it.

I played this game so much growing up and its still really fun to play. That being said, mine was crashing a lot and I needed to use the guide that requires you to use a hex editor to edit the exe and have it not crash. Not fantastic, but the game runs fine now and it only took like 5 minutes.

Wasn’t expecting much as deck building games aren’t usually my thing, but this game is intuitive and relatively easy to get a hang of while still presenting a challenge. I never once had to look up how something worked, or what strategies are good, you just sort of learn through trial and error. You may make mistakes and the game will punish you gor it, but its unlikely to end your run entirely, there are ways to get back. Just try stuff out and see what sticks!

Also the characters have cute designs and I love the little dialogs they have!

I grew up with this game and remember when my Dad used to take me on virtual rollercoaster rides as a kid. This game has a special place in my heart and I must say I actually am enjoying going through the career mode now that I actually know what I'm doing and know how to keep a park profitable. It doesn't fit ideally on my ultrawide, but should scale quite nicely to any 16:9 screen. If you're a fan of simulator-type games, this is a great one to pick up, even if it is on the older side at this point!

I wasn’t expecting much out of this game, but the art style is absolutely beautiful and like most other people here are saying, it definitely made me cry. If you have a few hours to kill, I highly recommend picking it up.

Its been a while since I’ve picked up a game and just enjoyed playing it. It doesn’t matter if you have 10 minutes, or 3 hours, the Cult of the Lamb is going to be a fun way to spend that time. The art style is unique and the gameplay is a mixture of base building and 2D rogue-like combat. This is definitely worth picking up!
