There is probably not other experience like this game out there, it can be really fun and very thrilling in some cases. As a survivor mechanics are simple, you are send to a map and you have to repair some generators which will allow you to open a gate to be able to escape. You can find some items or start with them at the beginning of the match which will give you a slight advantage on the right circumstances. Every survivor comes with their own set of skills in which you level high enough other survivors can learn as well. Some of the skills are very hepfull in the game while others are pretty much pointless. The adrenaline of knowing that you will be find by the killer or knowing there is only one more generator to be able to open the gates, can be very addictive.

I have not play enugh as a killer to give a solid opinion on it, but from what i play is almost as thrilling or even more than been a survivor.

The game can be highly enjoyable, but unfortunately game is very unbalanced, owed to the assymetric nature of it. Since playing survivor and killer are totally different experiences, matchmaking is probably very hard to make it right. This is not a competitive kind of game, were both sides can have the same level of skills and abilities and it will be fair game. This games is either the survivors are escape artists or you will face a godlike killer. Either situation can make it very frustrating for the player, since the ways to escape are limited, and sometimes you may be facing experience killers in consecutive matches. In the case of the killer, I think they have more variation to their skills and how to approach and kill a survivor, which i believe may be more enjoyable.

Other aspect that is highly unbalanced are the maps. Some of the maps survivors have more room to escape while others clearly the killer has and advantage. This also can be very frustrating if you face the same maps over and over again.
