Balatro is a card game that combines deck building with poker mechanics.
You win a round when you defeat the blinds by playing strategic poker hands.

You customize your deck with playing card upgrades such as: Jokers, Tarot, Planet, and Spectral cards. These cards will give your card hand buffs to increase your chances of winning. But I've learned you really have to be mindful at whats going in the game and have creative thinking. Some of the game rules can be bent, so to say, in a way to help you win. But figuring that out is trial and error, which is the fun part of it when you experiment. I've had a few celebrating moments figuring out how to prevent from losing with wits alone.

Luck is also a big factor.... Sometimes you just don't get a good card hand and you end up folding even when you're close to winning the game. But the other times, luck is on your side and you win big! There are incredible moments when the cards turn over in your favor.

Im gonna be playing Balatro on the Steam Deck for sometime. It's a fun, fun, card game when you get into it and figure out the mechanics.
