Early Access Review
This is the game I always wanted in my childhood (and by that I mean when I was a teenager... getting old, lol).
The game is a universe sandbox. There are planets that are completely drillable. You can build anything as long as you have imagination. There is survival mode. You can program in-game scripts (using C#) to make objects do what you want (such as automatic miners, patrolling ships, catapults, elevators, etc). Landscapes are beautiful (i.e. the earth looks fantastic, to the point you want to build a ship and just explore to find the best place for settlement). You can do space travel, such as going from the earth to mars, to the moon, or to anywhere in space, though it might take you years (in real life time). You can build remote controlled cars. You can do car safety testing by crashing it to a wall with different speeds and see how it gets destroyed. You can fight and make war with others, e.g. defend your base, attack with military-grade spaceships. You can launch warheads. Design tanks. And the list goes on, and on, and on.

Still has some cons, however. For example, if you play creative mode online with your friends, it will get buggy pretty quickly (unplayable at a certain point). Even in survival it gets laggy. As others say, this is getting better and better with every update.

About the developers: I feel they really care. Opposite to those in H1Z1 who only care about money (by selling skins), Space Engineers developers really love what they are doing. When you play the game, you can easily notice the effort put, since the amount of possibilities and configurations is amazing. I must say, I am perplexed that the game works as good as it currently is (even when it is that laggy!) given the amount of physics and simulation this game has.

Bottomline: Its the type of game you should definitely get if you like science. Be advised to be PATIENT (very important since many times your fresh constructions will just dissapper or implode).

EDIT 21/07/2018

It happened. Nobody expected this on a game that has been early for 5 years, but it happened. A major update on multiplayer and performance. And it works great, I was playing on a server with 48 people at the same time. There is some lag still with that many players, but it is not enough to bother you.

My clap clap to the developers. They have worked hard during all this early access. I am sure though that they will keep on polishing it. This is a masterpiece. A game I dreamt about when I was a child, but that did not expect to be fully possible (as it is now) in at least a few years more.
