A friend gifted me the game as an early birthday present, and we grinded the game for hours.
We took a while trying to find each other but eventually met in the shipping yard just outside Cherno, he managed to find a spare AK-74 and a bag and we headed North to the Airfield at Vybor, by the time we got there, we had found some good gear, after clearing the airfield of zombies and surprisingly not finding any players, we logged off in the crashed plane.

The next day we logged on but we were ill from running through the rain and cold, my friend's illness soon cleared, unlike mine, so we went in search of meds to get me back to health.

At some point we got separated and, me being unfamiliar with the map, couldn't tell my friend where I ended up, by the time he figured out my location, my illness had gotten worse, I was throwing up any food or water I consumed, I could barely walk from the hunger as I couldn't find any food.

Deciding I was likely not going to survive, I took shelter in a house, with a lockpick my friend had given me to open Hospitals before we got split up, I attempted to lock the door, so that no other players could loot my corpse and my friend could recover my gear for when I respawn, but it was too late.

Sick, starving and injured, I collapsed dead. All my gear still on my body, so when my body decomposed, it took an assault helmet + visor, AK74, Glock, SKS, UMP and a plate carrier with pouches and covered in grenades with it.

But such is the way of DayZ, on vanilla servers anyway.
This is The Way.
