OM /v/ DOOM Wad

What is /v/ DOOM Wad?

This is a group for members of /v/ that are interested in contributing a DOOM map for a /v/ megawad.
Anyone is free to join and submit, but only voted maps will get in that will show the skill of visuals, balance and -buzzword-.

The current idea is to have two episodes.
Episode 1 will contain vanilla maps that stick to the limits and design of classic DOOM gameplay (maybe 1 or 2 exceptions)
Episode 2 will contain maps using "zdoom 2.4 features" with no-limits to create new experiences and an expansion to the original Doom gameplay. Unlike episode 1's map order, each map-series will be loaded from map 01 (as a map selector) to not conflict with other ideas from other creators.

Remember, the map must be playable for single-player and multiplayer CO-OP purposes. Unique episode 2 maps must be discussed with me how it will play out.

The aim is a minimum of 10 maps per episode, and the latest deadline of December 10th, 2013, Doom's earliest 20th anniversary.

You can freely provide maps to an episode of your choice or both, or you can join the group to view and test progress if you're don't prefer to make maps.
Those who have ideas for maps but don't know how to make them then please download "Doom Builder 2", it's a program to make maps with a very easy learning curve, although you have to spend time to make a good map.

Both episodes use the Community Chest 4 texture pack, this only adds to the collection with helpful extensions such as waterfalls and chain fences (etc) and will NOT remove any of the default DOOm textures:

It's open for testing again and complaints and tips have been given consideration.

yeah, the /vr/ wave is quite huge and I might not be able to contact everyone 1-to-1 anymore. I can't add you all either, so I suggest the /vr/ DOOM generals be our place to communicate the project (and keeps the threads bumped too)
