No offense but I put a new version of my prison map on the corresponding discussion.
It's open for testing again and complaints and tips have been given consideration.

yeah, the /vr/ wave is quite huge and I might not be able to contact everyone 1-to-1 anymore. I can't add you all either, so I suggest the /vr/ DOOM generals be our place to communicate the project (and keeps the threads bumped too)

I got a bit derail. But to answer your question, I doubt we will include deathmatch maps. Although if we have enough votes, we could include a third episode containing these, they can be made quite quickly

I presume you mean deathmatch multiplayer. let's be honest, DOOM's deathmatch is just terrible (despite being the origin), and as much as I love DOOM I can't even defend that.
But if you mean CO-Op, then thats fine. Remember all maps need to be playable single player and co-op. Episode 2 can be an exception to the rule, as these maps don't conflict with others.

Also no maps are being submitted yet, just post it (plus screenshots) on the Steam Group Discussion page for testing. Also check out other's projects, since it's pretty quiet over there right now

I have a level I've made, ready to submit, but I've also made 2 multiplayer only levels before, and I'm curious if those could have any place in this wad? I've never really released them or anything anywhere else. I posted screenshots on /v/ once and shared the wad with another /v/irgin, but that's it.

1) only for testing. You can change the map number at any time, I did it to mine and it works fine.
2) I should update this on the profile, we're using ZDOOM (Doom in UDMF format), again this can be changed for anyone who has worked already on a map (some triggers might need to be recoded though)
3) I write this down anyway even if solved
In your doom builder map options put cc4 under resources. it mitght require either a doom builder and/or computer restart to see the new textures. They should be under a new texture listing to find them (or just look at all textures, it should included default doom 2 textures too).
To test the maps with cc4 texture, (for single player) drag your wad and the cc4 into zandronum.exe to load (put this on the testing readme), (for multiplayer) put cc4 as an additional wad (I think it's called a pwad) so it should load both on the server, like singleplayer

Wait, disregard that, I figured out how to use cc4-tex, it was a lot less complicated than I imagined.

Alright, I'm gonna put a little question here because I seem to be doing everything bloody wrong and I'm starting to feel inadequate.
1) The map we're making should be MAP01 in our wad, right?
2) Are we using ZDoom (Doom in Doom Format) or ZDoom (Doom in Hexen Format)?
3)I have cc4-tex, I've tested the presented maps on Zandronum, both work just fine, but how the bloody hell do I use it? I have no clue and the readme doesn't say anything.

The difficulty scale isn't that extreme, but it would help to not have 4 cyberdemons as the first map. I suggest use what you're planning on your set map order, since not many have arrange difficulty placements right now. The next check up I will have on folks will be this for Episode 1 mappers, and some altered rules for episode 2

So my map is almost completely formed. About 90% of sectors are done, polished and tested rigorously. Before I start populating it with items and enemies, however, I'd like to know if there is a consensus on map placements. I've built this with being around the 5th map of the 1st episode, somewhere in that region.
