TPK is a casual, international, social gaming community. We play to have fun, and to enjoy each other's company. Win or lose, we do it gracefully and work to ensure good games all around. We operate on the idea that respect can exist without reverence, but if you are playing the game to make someone else feel bad then you are doing it wrong.

We have but a few simple expectations:

EMPATHIZE with others in the community and respect their feelings. If someone is sensitive about something, back up and move on to something different. Slurs and violent language, whether coming from a racist, sexist, or otherwise bigoted/prejudiced intention or not, are frankly unacceptable and will result in an immediate mute, with a potential ban pending further investigation.

ADAPT to the needs of others around you. Recognize that people have different religious and political views, they're equally valid, and that community chat is really not an appropriate forum for those discussions. Learn what people need from you in order to have a good time. It's a social group - part of the unspoken contract is that you work to make it an enjoyable and welcoming space for everyone involved.

ENJOY the community and the games. To steal a line from the GFG community, this is "a low-sodium product." In other words, don't let yourself get too salty, and try not to get others worked up. Enjoy chat, each other, and whatever game you're playing to the fullest extent you can. We're a social community, and we're here for each other, but we're also all here to have fun.

Finally, PLAY ETHICALLY. No harassment. No cheating. No RMTing. Don't break the EULAs. We won't ask where you got your game, but remember that we have game devs in the group who would be very sad to hear about your moonlighting as a pirate.(edited)
