This group is for Linux Gamers who'd like to have a place to gather and talk about their favorite games. I hope to foster discussions about games that function well on various Linux distros, which graphics cards and driver combinations yield the best performance, and general answers to your Linux gaming questions.

About Our Recommendations:

*I will not recommend incomplete games (No alpha funded or early access games)
*Games must run well immediately after downloading or with minimal, unobtrusive first run configuration
*I will try to avoid most Wine-wrapped games
*I will not recommend crippled, shoddy ports (missing obvious key features or configuration options that the Windows or OSX versions have)
*I will not preclude a game for not having a given feature if it's not available on other platforms (lack of rebindable controls, etc.)
*I cannot guarantee that a game we've recommended will work on your hardware/driver/distro combination
*If you give me a review copy of your game, it does not guarantee it will be recommended; all games are subject to these above guidelines

I've started a YouTube channel where I hope to evangelize gaming on Linux. I not only plan on covering Steam for Linux titles, but also free, open-source games, proprietary games, browser-based games, software from Desura, and more. But as always, it will be centered around Linux first and foremost.

@WeimPlayz I have lots of games available to those who are worthy, but one look at your profile and I can confidently say that you are not at all worthy of any free games from me!

This kind of request you are making is not breaking any rules, but is still undoubtedly a "dick move", if you want free shit you have to prove that you deserve free shit in some way, at least review some of the games you already own before begging for more. If you randomly approached me and asked me this in the street I might be tempted to punch you in the nose!

I am actually in negotiations with R3D to get this game on Steam, but nobody has made any UAE wrappers for the Steam store AFAIK so this involves some considerable development. But you could expect more detailed graphics in the Steam version, I have seen them!

Would you be comfortable reviewing any non-steam games, or even more specifically any new release games for emulated systems like the classic Amiga series of computers which are available to buy in ADF or ISO, or even a real CD for use in FS-UAE?

Especially if you are equipped with both the controllers and the friends to play a four-player game of Tanks Furry by R3D in FS-UAE! Free download from aminet.net or physical copy from an independent Polish distributor.

I am reviewing this game from the perspective of a Linux user myself, but I simply cannot find more than one other person at any one point in time to play with me and I would really like to know if the deathmatch mode is as fun as it promises to be.

But I might just like the perspective of someone who did not actually grow up using the Amiga.
