** wra†h the Hyena **

Hyenas hunt either alone or in groups for medium and large-sized ungulates. While hyenas typically hunt for majority of their prey alone, they usually form groups of approximately 11 members to hunt for zebras. The hunting behavior of hyenas consists of the rush, which is followed by the chase and the kill. The rush occurs when the a lone hyena or a group of hyenas chases a group of ungulates and then stops to observe the prey. During the chase the hyena directly targets one animal and chases it until the hyena can grab the prey's stomach or the animal manages to escape. Hyenas have been described as opportunistic hunters because they attack the most vulnerable individuals and often hunt in the most opportune conditions, such as during thunderstorms when prey are likely to slip on the ground. Once a kill is made, scramble competition exists at the carcass and the dominant individuals within the clan have the greatest access to food.

** Kotletas the Puma **

A capable stalk-and-ambush predator, the cougar pursues a wide variety of prey. Primary food sources include ungulates such as deer, elk, moose, and bighorn sheep, as well as domestic cattle, horses and sheep, particularly in the northern part of its range. It will also hunt species as small as insects and rodents.

** Riddle the Coyote **

Coyotes are opportunistic, versatile carnivores with a 90% mammalian diet, depending on the season. They primarily eat small mammals, such as voles, prairie dogs, eastern cottontails, ground squirrels, and mice, though they will eat birds, snakes, lizards, deer, javelina, and livestock, as well as large insects and other large invertebrates. The coyote will also target any species of bird that nests on the ground.
