Hey Guys!

Its been a while since i've released an update and this is because there have been many things going on in my personal life, that have taken me away from the minecraft server, and maitaining it. I'm here to report these changes now.

In the past few days I have been remaking the permissions and server groups to be more friendly to use, and to be better in general. The new ranks will be as follows:

[Trial] - A 2 week trial period to ensure that the player in question is not a bad person, to make a more pure community. It is only a title for Moderators to keep watch over them.
[Member] - The regular rank, players will have access to all items, and some basic commands.
[Trusted] - These are original teamGF members, and trusted members of the community. In other words, i know these people will not try and ruin anything and are trustworthy to other members as well.
*[Mod(erator)] - These are the police of our server, they will be able to monitor chat, and issue temporary bans to all that deserver punishment due to a rule break or any other just cause.
*[Admin] - This person will be the mediator for all issues on the server when it comes to its playerbase. Anything that requires action on a permanent ban will be handled by this person.
*[Owner] - Special rank reserved for Blucid, our creator. Has all the rights of an admin.
*[Developer] - Special rank reserved for Sannity. Has all rights and is an OP to the server, if you have an issue with the server, contact Sannity.

* - All ranks with a ' * ' next to them are people who can be contacted with any issue with the server or its playerbase. Feel free to find those people on steam to contact about help on the server.

With these new ranks I have decided to remove the item restrictions on the trial rank for now, they are somewhat unnecessary if we keep a close eye on you anyway.

The biggest news to come out of the last month is that we have changed server providers. This means an IP change is to happen in the next modpack update. I hope this new server will allow us to have a less laggy, and overall better experience in game.

In response to this server change I have begun a remodel of our configs and server files, which is why i redid the ranks above. I will be creating informational spreadsheets to be accessed by anyone to view progress on the updates of our server.

Speaking of modpack updates, after long consideration I will not be resetting the map if it is possible to prevent. The full map file is already loaded on the new server, and it seems to be intact. I will not be removing or adding anymore mods to the 1.7.10 versions of our modpack, the only updates to come in the future of 1.7.10 will be bug fixes and config changes. I am going to switch my focus to a 1.9 version of our modpack as soon as possible. This will take a few months and I am currently in the earliest stages of it, but just know that when I feel the 1.9 modpack is ready for full release, a map reset will happen. But no worries, that may be a year away for all i know, it all depends on the modding scene, and currently it is very slim.

We will be skipping version 1.8 due to the release of 1.9, if 1.10 is released with a sort of modding api before i am able to build a full version of 1.9, i may delay the release of 1.9, but that is far in the future.. and are just speculation.

I also plan to advertise the server significantly more to attract more players. I hope that the rest of our team will follow in my pursuit and use the various outlets for players to attract new traffic to our server. We can only do this if we work together to recruit new faces and expand the teamGF name to its former glory.

So as you can see, there is a lot happening right now. The momentum is beginning to pick up again, we are changing again. Lets please keep this up by recruiting new friendly people, and inviting them to help create something big. I am looking for critisism and feedback on all of these issues.. please contact me with any questions.

Due to some technical difficulties with our virtual server, the map data from about 2 days ago was lost, and all backup data was corrupted. Im sorry about this.. In the future i will have the backups stored somewhere safer, and keep an eye on the Problem more closely. This in turn will mean for a new map, and new start for all players. I will be re-doing permissions as well, they will be as follows:

Debug- ONLY for debug, and server changes (Nobody should always be debug)
Admin- Kicks, Bans, and some server administration commands
Moderator- Kicks, Bans, Temp-Bans, Mutes, etc.. Basically like Police
VIP- No special permissions, just fancy name
*Member - No special permissions
*Trial - Resticted Permission (TBD)
*- These will have restricted permissions in Flans, and any other mod with griefabilty.

New Changes in a few Days (More May Come.. Incomplete list):
Will be adding a few utility mods for admins (FTB Utilities, FTB Tweaks)
Adding (MalisisAdvert, Immersive Engineering)
Removing (Aroma Backup [New backup method will be added])

This version will be the last major update for a while, there may be hotfixes, and bug fixes, but unless people really want something.. That means an official release of the teamGF modpack is in order, and a final version of 2.4.x will be our modpack for a while

The new teamGF Minecraft Update is released on the FTB client. Please update to version 2.3 in order to join the server.

This version adds Flans Mod, with a WW2 content pack as well. Also the hunger mod and lycanite mobs have had their configs tweaked a little. Happy Gaming!

The modpack was again updated a month ago. I changed around configs to hopefully make the gameplay better. A new spawn location will be chosen in the next day or so and since i am back from vacation, i am taking mod suggestions and config change suggestions. Sorry i do not have a specific list of things i changed, because it was a month ago... Thanks Guys!
