As you may be aware recent changes on Steam broke SteamTrade Matcher pretty badly.

Some crucial parts of the website needed a full rewrite and unfortunately I did not have any time to work on this lately.

I did manage to fix it which means the STM bot is now back online and inventories should now refresh properly again! Please allow a few hours for the system to catch up.

I would like to thank everyone who has supported me during the downtime and especially Archi (from ArchiSteamFarm[github.com]) who gave me precious tips to help me fix SteamTrade Matcher!

Due to changes on Steam's side, many important functionalities of SteamTrade Matcher were broken since yesterday.

I have identified the cause of these issues and just released a fix.

Inventories should now refresh properly. Please wait a few hours for STM to update all the queued users.

As you may already know, Steam added severe restrictions on inventory queries, which means it is now much harder to keep STM users' inventories up to date. All the community services which rely on users Steam inventories are impacted by this.

SteamTrade Matcher has always used multiple IP addresses to make sure to have optimal uptime on inventory queries. However, the latest changes are so extreme that a lot more IPs would be needed to keep the same level of service as before, but that would mean a very high monthly cost to keep the service online.

I made several changes within the last few weeks to try to keep SteamTrade Matcher usable.

- Publicly listed users are now automatically refreshed every 12 hours. There was no defined timing before, but it used to be between 15 and 30 minutes. Unfortunately, the current limits make it very hard to refresh more often than 12 hours, especially with the current number of public users.

- Manual refreshing is now possible every 2 hours, up from 10 minutes. At the moment, I cannot guarantee that manually refreshing will work every time.

- Tier 3+ ($25) supporters can manually refresh their inventories every 5 minutes, up from 2 minutes.

- The STM bot is using specific IPs at the moment to be able to continue working.

- At the moment, tier 4 ($50) supporters are also using the same IPs as the STM bot, which means they are almost guaranteed to be able to refresh their inventory at any time. I plan to also include tier 3 supporters into this within short term.
*** I understand this might not be seen as a good thing by some of you, but getting more IPs is expensive and this is my way of thanking supporters who helped finance this. The ultimate goal is obviously to have a good quality of service even for non-supporter users. ***

I will keep you updated for future changes.

Hi everyone,

Here's a recap of the latest fixes that were pushed to SteamTrade Matcher recently:

Bug fixes:
- Trader and stacker modes should now properly match cards when the set's badge level is 5 or the user owns 5 fullsets.
- The userscript now adds cards with the most copies owned to trade offers.
- Fixed favicon error when installing the userscript.

At the moment it seems like the fix I pushed after Steam blocked the previous inventory API endpoint is now working fine. As a result automatic inventory refresh times are now a bit longer because the new endpoint is slower, but the current delay is very reasonable.

Hi everyone,

SteamTrade Matcher was not working properly these last 2 or 3 days because of some changes made by Steam which greatly restricted API calls to get user inventories.

I found another way to do this and it seems to be working fine for now.

I took this as an opportunity to finally close STM V1! I still consider V2 to be in beta but overall it is working great so it was not worth developing the fix for both versions. I have a few things to fix and features coming for STM V2, I've been unable to work on those recently but have no worries, it's coming as soon as possible.
