Mile High's towering cityscape is illuminated by billboards with clever nods to '80s and '90s movies like Idiocracy, The Fifth Element (obviously) and Coming to America. Contrary to its name, Mile High Taxi appears to be set in a futuristic version of Toronto rather than Denver, Colorado. In any case, of all the dystopian cities.

Conceptually, Mile High plays the role of Crazy Taxi in six dimensions, but with vertical maneuverability added to the formula.
Unfortunately, the novelty Mile High wears out after a few minutes of transporting random passengers to indistinguishable locations along its nondescript network. In the absence of clear landmarks, varied street layouts, or a neighborhood's unique aesthetic, little distinguishes one ride from another. Each ride is treated more or less the same, and the Mile High fare loop dissolves into an amorphous, unmemorable haze long before the timer runs out. Among its game modes is Free Roam, in which players explore the city without timers or fares.

Perhaps it's unfair to expect any game - let alone self-developed - to bring back the magic of Crazy Taxi.
