A simple way of holding the ball when you recieve or are standing still with it and not dribbling. It's a simple movement with one foot acting as the pivot point which you cannot let go of.

With this you can do three things:
1. If you haven't dribbled then go ahead and dribble and run.
2. You can pass to a teammate hopefully getting the assist.
3. You can take a jump shot!

I am totally not drawing any kind of similarities from basketball to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

A simple movement that requires you to have the basketball in your hands, you can do this while stopped or move, stop, then do this.
A Fake-Pass requires just a movement of the arms with the ball, basically a quick jab one direction.
It will fool the opponent sometimes, so it is not recommended all the time!

After a fake pass, if they have fallen for it, can be followed up with:
1. An attempt for a Field-Goal if close enough.
2. If you didn't dribble beforehand, you can move into a dribble and run.

A fundamental part of basketball, a jump shot consists of an upward jump and a shot towards the goal, aiming for a field goal.

The best kind of jump shots require a straight up and down hop, ready position before shot, proper aim, properly extended arm when shooting with sufficent shot form. The shot is best taken from the peak of the jump.

This is totally not me hinting that a [Jump Shot] is like a SSG jump shot in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
