The first Gunscape Steam group!

The Official Gunscape Group (or OGG, for short) is the official group centered around the game known as "Gunscape", which, at the time of writing this, is in Early Access.

There is no specific country that this group targets. The founder (TehRealSalt) is from the United States, but we know that the devs are from Australia, and that we shouldn't block off most of the world by specifing a country. However, there is a language that everyone should speak (English), for the only reason of being able to communicate.

Gunscape reaches Steam Early Access!

Good news; Gunscape has been successfully greenlit a while back! It's approaching Steam soon.

If you are a Gold Founder, then head on over to the Gunscape forums and PM Ben for a key to beta-test the Steam version. If you don't want to do it yourself though, you can reach me via Steam and I'll forward it to him as long as I get your Gunscape account name (no passwords please!).

Once you have a key, click the "+ Add a Game..." button at the bottom-left of the Steam Library, and select "Activate a Product on Steam...". Then paste in the code, and you'll have your hands on the beta.

If you aren't a Gold Founder, don't worry. The Steam version will ready for a full audience soon.

Version 0.4.4965 notes:

New Networking Code

The entire multiplayer connectivity has been revamped using a new and improved client-server setup.
This will allow us to add a bunch of awesome features and improvements along the way, including LAN servers, more custom updates, faster connections, lower latency, and hack prevention.
As an added bonus, many of these features will be able to be changed server-side meaning you won't need to download an update to get the new improvements.
This is the first iteration, and it has everything needed to get in and get playing straight away, and we will continue to build on it and add to it as we move forward.
If you find any issues, please report them in the Support Forums.

Other Changes

Added some new weapons and blocks and enemies.
Upgraded the AI on the enemies to be smarter.
Fixed a bunch of bugs around score display.
Fixed some issues with audio playing incorrectly at times.
Added damage feedback when hitting enemies.
A bunch of other bug fixes and tweaks.

Cheers indeed my friend! I was actually fiddling around trying to get the new update to work, I got it to work but the grapics seemed unclear and playmodels didn't always show up. Not ideal for compettive play, but I managed!

I was mapmaking when I saw the notice on steam that the unnoffical offical group was playing :D Guess that adding gunscape as a custom game on steam payed up!
