The Mori were absolutely one of the more influential clans throughout Japan during the Sengoku Jidai. They were usually at the center of any national conflict. The Mori have the distinguished honor of being a significant enemy to all 3 of Japan's "unifiers" at one point or another.

The Region of Aki -Domain of the Mori

The Aki Mori were a locally powerful clan within their province, serving as jito in the years leading up to the Sengoku Jidai. However, they didn't become a regional and even a national power until the rise of Mori Motonari. Under Motonari's leadership, the Mori would reach their zenith. They would take total control of Aki and most of it's neighbors, and even expand a bit into Kyushu
