A warning to anyone currently playing any source games at this moment in time. Yesterday this exploit was released:

Information of it was released the same day it was reported to valve, there is currently no fix for it, and there will likely not be a fix for it for a while.

In its worst form:
People can use your SteamID and get banned in your place from other servers.

People can use your SteamID to gain permissions access (such as admin powers) on servers if they only check SteamID

ANY COMMUNITY SERVER is able to write files to your computer, including to your autorun. This means that malware can be written to your autorun, and will be activated when you restart.

DO NOT use community servers until this is fixed. Play on Valve servers only, or you risk getting keylogged and losing all your accounts online, your steam items, etc. Bespoke malware written to be used with this exploit likely WILL NOT be detected by your antivirus software.

CS:GO matchmaking and DOTA 2 matchmaking are safe, as is TF2 matchmaking.
