It's time to live!

Greetings! Welcome to Living Terraria!LT is a social experiment using the game Terraria to roleplay the growth of society. Our goal is to try to make a living world inside of the game, with a working economy and social base. Our belief is that if players take the effects of life and death seriously, they will form societies to better survive. These societies will inevitably have to either work together or fight eachother for resources to grow. On top of that, they will have to survive Terraria's harsh environmental assaults.

If this interests you, there are several rules to follow:

Overall:

1.) This is a ROLEPLAYING server. Do not try to meta game. There is no winner or loser overall. Surviving each day is its own victory.
2.) PvP must be enabled at all times while logged into the server.
3.) This is your world, do what you will, within the rules.
4.) Conversely, this is also everyone else's world. It would be wise to respect local laws and customs that may sprout up, for their punishment may be harsh.
5.) Death is the ultimate end to a character. If you intend kill someone, think about the hours of work you're robbing them of before you do it. Death is a real consequence on this server, so consider your actions carefully.
6.) Server admins are known as Gods. Gods are known to take mortal form and enter the world to exert their will upon the land. They are aloof and mysterious, but their main role is to shape the land or enforce the universal laws.
7.)Bringing in external items, weapons, building materials, consumables, etc. from other worlds is STRICTLY PROHIBITED to everyone except Gods.

Character Creation:

1.) Create a new character. Make them look however you wish, but know you may have to roleplay more extreme appearances.
2.) Character MUST be HARDCORE. This means if your character dies, it is gone forever.
3.) Name your character with a beleivable fantasy name, but make it something that won't necessarily link the character to you. Give them a First and Last name and don't tell anyone (except Gods) your character's name. This will help create annonymity between characters and grow legitimate in game bonds and rivalries.
4.) Upon entering the world, turn PvP on and leave it on.

Death:

1.) If your character dies, you may create a new one. (see: Character Creation)
2.) Loot dropped by your character may be retrieved by other players, even yourself, but will disappear if left too long.

Godhood:

1). Godhood is a responsibility.
2). God characters are Softcore, thus are not permanently killed, nor do they drop items. Basically Godhood will be recognised as any softcore character on the server.
3). Godhood may be bestowed or earned, but any other acheivement will result in a permanent ban.
4). As a God, you are basically a server admin. Your duty is to influence the world in interesting and unique ways that reflect the nature of your god, answer prayers (trouble tickets or requests posted on the group page), and be aloof. Any other use (griefing, aiding societies in combat, etc) MAY be viewed as an abuse of your power and you may be banned or lose your godhood.

Pantheon:
Novite - God of Adventure, Good Fortune, The Hunt, and Flame.
Sylvur - God of War, Discord, Thievery, and The Tide.
Anduindel - God of Architecture, Mining, Engineering, Wreckless abandon, and Earth.
