Rules of the game

Disputes & Misbehaviour


Rules can be openly discussed, but not during a game session.
GM settles disputes between players, and all his rulings are final and binding.

Players who sabotage the game (ragequitting, mass-releasing vassals, etc) or abuse other players in any way or form (racism, insults, temper tantrums etc) will be banned from the game and reported here.

Players who deliberately and repeatedly ignore the rules posted here or any of the GMs' rulings can be banned from the game.

Players cannot rename provinces. If a player renames a province unreasonably, GM maintains the right to discipline.



Absences & Substitutions

Players must find their own substitutes if they can't play on a given session, and must also inform the session's GM of the substitution.

Players who are AWOL for the first session or for two sessions (even non-consecutive) will be replaced permanently by a substitute or by the AI, and can rejoin the game only as substitutes.


War & Peace

Permanent wars are forbidden: if a player asks for peace terms to another player, the winner must send a peace offer; the loser is free to refuse the proposal, which is not intended as definitive and can be changed by the winner should the war continue; both sides can keep fighting while the negotiations take place.

Alliance leaders cannot accept or propose peace terms without the explicit consent of all their allies.

Players can't demand more than 100% warscore from other players in a single peace deal.

Once a warscore reaches 95%, the loser MUST accept any peace deal offered, so long as rule 3 above is honoured. At 100%, the winning side MUST offer a deal.

Junior members of wars are exempt from Rules 3 and 4 above. The Junior
Member may deal for a separate peace, but is not obliged to do so.

Declare War on your actual war targets!

Players can't take more than 600 ducats from AI nations in a single peace deal.


Balance & Gameplay

Players cannot play any country outside of Europe, North Africa or the Middle East.

Players cannot sell or voluntarily lose their provinces to move their capital outside of Europe, North Africa or the Middle East.

Any kind of exploit or bug abuse is forbidden.

Lucky nations are off.

Strictly NO pausing, unless you are on the losing side of a vs. AI war and need to negotiate peace before they cap more provinces. Real Kings didn't get to halt time, and neither will we, for the sake of getting more than 22 years in per session!

Be on time!

All players must disable Autosave to Cloud before joining the game.

If you can't abide by these rules, you need to join another game.
