I need help setting up my controls for the AH-64-D I own the following controllers. Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle and Stick. Thrustmaster TPL Rudder Peddles. Two Thrustmaster MFD without active screens. I while back I purchased the AH-64-D Helicopter and then I just purchased the Virpil Deluxe Collective with the AH-64-D Grip. I purchased DCS a few year ago and over the past five years or so purchased the following controls for DCS.

Hello everyone. I'm a 65+- year old U.S. Navy 100% rated disabled veteran. Due to my injuries I have a hard time learning, so DCS is a real challenge for me. I'm looking for someone who can help me along, and has a tremendous amount of patience.
I can fly the A-10-C Warthog but have not figured out how to shoot the missiles or anything else. As far as the AH-64-D I have the almost all the buttons on the collective done other then a few. and as far as flying it, let's just say I'm crashing/working on it.
I have a headset with a mic but don't know how to set it up in DCS or anywhere else so I can talk to people. At my age learning all this PC stuff is like learning a new language.
So, if there is anyone brave enough out their to take on the task of teaching this old dog new tricks, Please leave me a message, and I will try to figure out how to respond. Thanks everyone. It might take me a few days to answer because when I'm in pain i'm mostly stuck in bed. Thank you.

I'm new to DCS. It looks great. I'm having problems with having to repeatedly assigning the HOTAS over and over as it blanks out my settings or changes my settings as soon as I do them. It is getting frustrating making the settings 5 times before they set, and I still don't know how they operate between the easy vs. the real settings. I make the assignments in both and the DCS changes them behind me. Settings in the right stick get copied into the left stick (throttle) after I spend the time to do them. Of course you cant fly with the changes. Aside from the learning curve, there is an abuse curve. Some day I might even find out how the Edge 540 gets loaded, as all that I have found does not match up with what is listed as instructions. Folders that do not exist.

I just bought a few Planes in the sale. All seem to work when I checked free flight except the A10C. When you start the A10 it asks for the serial number and when I put it in it say's it's the wrong one. The other planes just worked without a serial number entry request. The A10 just has a Map and no cockpit.

I love the mig-19, But do I get the mig module🤔

If you look down at the posts, u will see that myself and Wolf Alpha are trying to get together to fly and learn.
However, we were going to use Skype to communicate. But I noticed u mentioned Teamspeak. Could u tell me what it does (I assume like Skype it's for communication) and what differences, if any, are there to Skype?
Also, where can you get teamspeak from?

I#ve just found out that FC3 is now supported by Steam. Before, they said that due to licensing problems it could only ne played in Russia! So I'm gonna try and install it on Steam again. I just hope it works though because in Discussions they said it depends on when I bought it, which kinda sucks

Same here except I've also got the Huey and Black Shark 2. As u have Flaming Cliffs 3, u must play on the ED DCS World, as Steam only has 1 or 2 out of the 8 aircraft that come with FC3.

Good idea but I've tried getting events, etc going but nobody seems to wanna participate. A lot of people thought by the game's advertising; "Ground, Land, Sea and Air Combat, that it was going to be like ARMA 3. Once it became obvious it was strictly a flight sim, even though a very good one, people lost interest in droves I'm afraid!

Sorry for not checking the group page for quite a while due to illness. I'm still not back to how I was and I think the recovery period is gonna take longer than I initially thought. But at least I'm back to being able to get online and gaming again, but it's not likely to be everyday anymore. I will get on whenever physically possible though.

Omega9, when you say you have no missions, what module are you trying to play? Have you bought any yet or do you just have the basic DCS World with the free airctafy that comes with it?
