ABOUT Cypher's Rust Group

Finding a Civilized Opposition

The Objective of this Group/post:
1) To connect with another Rust team that will oppose us on our home server while maintaining a professional attitude.
2) To connect with any friendly players that have an interest in teaming up anywhere or exchanging ideas about Rust meta strategies.

What is the Code of Conduct?
Do not address the opposing team in chat or voice. Consider chat to be disabled. Communications between team members and team leaders will be done via Steam, Discord, or other outside channels when formal discussions are required.
Notable examples of appropriate chat/voice usage: Letting a team member know your mic/Discord is not functioning; answering a question for a new player needing game assistance.
Communication with the opposing team also encompasses alternative text fields such as sleeping bag names and wooden signs.

NO players with VAC or Game bans will be allowed.
NO players with Friends who have VAC or Game bans will be allowed.

What will happen if the Code of Conduct is violated?
If benign communication occurs accidentally a reminder about these rules will be given.
If offensive communication occurs it will be reported to a team leader and the team leaders will meet to discuss the issue for resolution. If the issue is severe enough the player will be banned from the server.

What is allowed?
All forms of Rust metagame are in play. This includes but is not limited to:
PVP combat
Base Raiding - Online and Offline
Raid Countering
Base Conquering
Base Denying - commonly considered griefing
Despawning Loot
Monument Camping
Door Camping
Spawn/Beach Camping aka Naked Hunting
Sniper Towers or other Area Control techniques
Trap Bases
Roof Bunker Bases

This set of policies is intended to provide us a high level Rust PVP experience free of toxic behavior; the same experience you would find in an organized tournament setting in many tactical FPS games.

If this is the Rust experience you desire, I welcome you to the group and the server.
Even if you are a solo, small group, or beginning Rust player, you are welcome to come play hard and learn fast without anyone talking down to you.

I have mass invited everyone I play Rust with. Friends and opponents welcome. Thank you to all the great people I've met playing this game! Hopefully in slow steps we move towards another group event.
