Hi all,

It has been nearly seven years since Conquer Servers first began. However, it comes with great sadness that that time has come to an end, as effective immediately Conquer Servers are shutting down. It has been a pleasure to serve the community in this way but unfortunately core and myself don't have the time and resources to keep them online. We've made the difficult decision to not accept any further support from the community to revive or keep Conquer Servers alive.

With a grateful heart, I thank the entire community for keeping the servers active. Thank you to all those who have donated in the past to support the financial stability of Conquer Servers. The biggest thanks goes to core for managing the servers for the past few years.

Moving towards the later half of 2020, Conquer Servers have been looking at our current server situation and what locations we could adopt to better support everyone's training addiction desires, as well as collecting feedback on our current servers and seek further feedback/ideas from our community regarding other aspects of Conquer. With these points in mind, we are releasing a poll to try gauge some user interest in possible new server locations, along with the revitalization of Conquer #3, our underrated DM server. We would appreciate as much feedback and suggestions as possible, and would like to thank our community for its continued support. <3

As the title says, the Conquer servers have moved. This move was prompted by recent server issues, both hardware and software related. There were some other motivators behind this move, however we hope that the move is not too intrusive. As these servers are new, the details for them have changed.

SOME BACK-STORY
Around a year ago, obla made a post here describing how Conquer servers would be moving to a new box. Sadly, due to a number of factors we have yet again moved the Conquer servers to another provider. Many players would be aware of the recent performance issues our OVH box has been experiencing in the past week or more. Despite best efforts to remedy the plethora of issues, the CPU related issue had yet again shown it's ugly head. Luckily, we have been planning this move for a little while now, so the move was pretty quick this time.

SERVER CHANGES
With our move to Vultr (our new provider), players will experience lower ping than before, with no compromise in server performance. I personally run and provide a lot of servers, websites and more, and have recently had to look at reducing the services I was paying for (nothing is changing for Conquer or anything else, more so I found more cost effective hosting providers). However, until everything is stable and setup, there will only be two Conquer MGE servers, with no DM server yet. Either MGE #3 or DM #1 will be making a return at some point, just not immediately.

PERTH SERVER?
We were not able to find a suitable and reliable provider for a Perth server, but I imagine down the line more options will open up.

Hey all,

Just wanted to let everyone know we are doing a test for our first Perth game server. We will be testing this for a period of two weeks, after which we will confirm if it is staying, moving to another host, changing IP or port, or if it won't be returning.

We aren't really looking for players numbers off the start, more so wanting to test everyone's connection to this provider, server stability and more.
