Actually, the game is playable offline with a trick (if you download an earlier version from Steam). Since I posted here, someone made a post on the Laser League Steam forum explaining how to do it. Check the forums if you're here for offline play!

Worst bunch of liars ever. Taking over a game just to collect cash for ingame items and then shutting it down completely although it was perfectly playable beforehand.

Dear CE-Asia,

I'd like to congratulate you on the amazing game that is Laser League. We bought it in 2018 when it still wasn't free to play, and it was one of our favorite family games we could all play together (as we have 8 controllers connected to our PC). However, since the servers were shut down, the game has become inaccessible even for local mode. My question is, are you planning to make the game playable for offline, local play? We'd really appreciate the gesture, and can't wait to enjoy your game again. Please update us regarding the situation!
