Ever been the first in your squad to have to turn a corner which you KNOW enemies are around, only to catch THEM by surprise with a gun butt to the face? Ever been the first to rush into a room, Leroy Jenkins style, and with a blaze of glory still remained alive and victorious? Or ever had to hide in a closet with your 3 best friends and the only thing between you and a horde of zombies was the strong forward force of your elbow? Then you, my friend, are a man or woman worthy of joining Bow Team Charlie.

There are only 3 requirements to join the Bow Team Charlie.

1: You must believe in the strength of the Bow, and use it to survive in all instances. You must never underestimate it's strength, and use it to ensure that every enemy that steps to close is made to GET THE F*** BACK.

2: You must never back down, for only the enemy must rage quit. If you must lose, the loss is only done so if your enemy is made to limp away, faces bruised from the impact of your bows.

3: You must never, EVER drop the soap. You must wash everywhere, including behind your ears. Remember, the Health Inspector is watching you.

If you remember these things, then you, my friend, are worthy of joining the group. If you have been approved, then I welcome you to BOW TEAM CHARLIE.

To the uninformed people who continue to cry about L4D2's short release time after the original, using "They boycotted the game when it was announced" as a point only furthers the stupidity of your argument. The boycott was made under a somewhat reasonable assumption; if the game is rushed, it will suck and probably be like an expansion rather than a full game. For examples of this, see Call of Duty: World at War and Modern Warfare 2 in comparison to Call of Duty 4. Notice how those games were released almost exactly a year apart as well and actually did vary little from the ones before? With arguably worse gameplay as well? A valid complaint looking at other companies' efforts.

However, Valve proved their major assumptions wrong in that they continue to update and release content for the original Left 4 Dead (as is shown in the new campaign, survival mode, and other patches to the game) and the fact that L4D2 has an entirely upgraded atmosphere and system compared to the first game. Although I personally did not expect Valve to forget about Left 4 Dead after the sequel came out (Shit, they're still releasing patches to CS:S and that game is about as old as the internet), after they proved that L4D2 was not going to be an uninspired project they SHUT DOWN THE BOYCOTT GROUP. Yes, even those who raged against buying the game en masse decided that it was worth it after all. As expected.

So why are you still whining? It's like having great lunch today, then raging against the lunch lady tomorrow because the meal will be shit if she cooks more than once a decade. Release date is NOT a valid argument anymore against l4d2. Enjoy your complimentary tissues.

The length which you develop them is not the only determining factor of how good they will be. L4D2 is an excellent game which surpasses it's predecessor in many ways while still staying true to it's roots. The fact that this didn't take 10 years to develop is completely irrelevant to how good the end product is.

L4D2 is not a fine alcoholic beverage, Valve is not a brewery. If you've got a serious complaint about the game, then by all means, bring it up. But if you've only got the length of time it took to hit the shelves, perhaps you should have some cheese with that whine. Anyone with release date issues can have a complimentary box of tissues on the way out so they can cry some more elsewhere.
