The Offical Steam Group of The 2015 "Remembrance" Siege Event in Mount&Blade: With Fire and Sword

This is a steam group I made for those who are willing to take part in the 2015 Remembrance Siege Event of Mount&Blade: With Fire and Sword

Here's the schedule

First part of the event: Saturday December 19th 2015 20:00 GMT+1 (Central European Time), the Clanwar Event

6 rounds on every map, teams play both as defender and as attacker on one map, then comes the next map. This is no competition, just for fun.

Note: Clans can still sign up.

Second part of the event: Sunday December 20 20:00 GMT+1 (Central European Time), the Individual Tournament Event

3 rounds on every map, then switch map. Players can join the team they would like to, at the end screenshots will be made and their kills and deaths will be counted. After 4 maps (12 rounds), the tournament will end, more maps can be played afterwards if the public desires it. Winner of the event will be announced the day after.

Calling for WarNet Siege

So two former Westre admins set up a 200-slot siege server earlier this year in WFaS but Sparta Siege's influence left it uninhabited.

As an old Westres veteran, I feel like I must do something about this.

There are currently 154 members in this siege group, and the siege event we did counted more than 200 in just two days. So I'd ask you guys to play on WarNet siege more often.

We definitely need a group of people who are able to join the siege server at dawn or early in the morning, thus increasing the chance of players joining WarNet instead of Sparta.

I'll also try to talk to the WarNet admins and maybe get admin position myself so we can do better.

If more effort is required, we shall do scirms and other events at weekends on WarNet Siege. If this is needed, I'll post the event date and tell you guys when it's about to start.

So please support our cause, for we mustn't lose our hope in the server that truly wields the heritage of Westres.

IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT TODAY'S EVENT

In total we have 10 clans which signed up for the event today, each clan promised me 10+ players except for CuA and ChoHu. Problem is: the Siege Event Server can only host 64 players.

So my idea is the following: Due to my friendship with the admin of the RoA Clanserver, we'll be able to host the event on 2 different servers today. Same maps, same factions, just not the same teams.

So the schedule would be the following: The 10 clans are currently in 2 teams as you can see on the front page of this very steamgroup. So the teams will be split and we'll play 2 clans vs 3 clans, with as less player difference as possible. Team 1 would play on RoA_Clanserver while Team 2 would play on Siege_Event_Server.

The time of the event would also stay the same, 6 rounds on every map and then change map, after 3 rounds switch the teams. So these "new teams" would be made on the field, with clans that can internally bring more people (such as T_A_H and RoA) against clans with less capable people.

So just perhaps the teams could look like this:

RoA Server Teams:

1: OwL, Nordic and CuA (Team A)

2: RoA and PW (Team B)

Siege Event Server Teams:

1: T_A_H and CHoHu (Team C)

2: SO, CC and ChK (Team D)

(+ Shazam's Russian team to fill in the rest).

I would like the clanleaders to stay in contact with me this evening on Steam, I'll give them more details later. Every clan shall feel free to bring as many players as possible, even mercenaries if needed.

Note: This is just a plan B, which will only start working if there truly are more than 64 players arriving (which I expect to happen). The moderators and the server admins will try to keep everything in order, and I'll visit RoA server before the start as well.

Please make screenshots at the end of every round and every map. After 2 maps we'll see how many rounds have been won by the different teams, and then we might make a second part to this event one week later. Huzzah!

In one event we managed to get 12 clans to take part. 12 clans in one event! That's the amount of clans you usually get for a With Fire and Sword league which lasts 3 months, but we managed to pull it off on a single evening.

I also hereby give credit to all the admins and moderators who bothered to help me with the maps and the event's operation, I also thank every single player for coming. I, as the organizer of the event, would have got nowhere without the help of all of you in this group and even outside of it.

I'm happy to tell you, ladies and gentlemen, that despite the amount of struggle we had with this event both before and during it, the 2015 Remembrance Siege Event of With Fire and Sword was a complete big SUCCESS!

We managed to break 2 records as well:

In one moment the amount of players on RoA server and the Siege Event Server reached 124 in total. We haven't had a number like that on any WFaS server since 2013. Congratulations!
