Hi all, it's with a heavy heart that I have to announce the shutdown of our Gmod servers after over a decade running.

Ten years ago I started up the Gmod servers we have mainly for fun, and I had no idea they'd become so popular like they did. Even when things got quiet I was still happy to keep them running for the people who wanted to go and play on them.

Nowadays, general interest in Gmod seems to be dying out. Most people only play the same one or two 'flavour of the month' gamemodes, plus the issues with lua viruses/screamers and the removal of addon content over legal matters haven't helped things. Put all of these together with changing financial situations and ultimately keeping the servers up is sadly no longer feasible.

Sledbuild has already shutdown due to the renewal date for the server being up, but the Melonbomber server will continue to run until 11 November this year. This group will remain up for the purpose of organising multiplayer sessions or in case we ever run servers for anything again, as well as simply being a record of all the fun we've had. To everyone who's supported us over the years, thank you.

The melonbomber server appears to be working correctly again for now, as usual please let me know if there are any issues.

Currently investigating an ongoing issue with the melonbomber addon, will keep everyone updated over the next few days.

After a few days of problems the Sledbuild server is up and running once more. The server is using a new IP address however, so everyone should make sure to keep that in mind if you had it in your favourites. The new IP can be found on the group page but for convenience I'll also post it here.

We're having a bit of a weird problem with the Sledbuild server. According to the hosting provider the server is currently running, but both steam and GMod are saying that the server isn't responding and isn't online. I've gotten in contact with the hosting provider and I'll post another update when I hear back from them.

The Melonbomber server is still active and working as normal.
